It's what mine looked like around 35k or so, so I would think not

Installed a Radium PCV CC. Mileage 62000km. Are these deposits considered excessive?

Just adding this new option I found:

Its also in Ebay:

I like the cans and hoses...... the breather plate that comes with it is ok.
At first glance it looked good, but those "hoses" are cosmetic hose covers and ends - the giveaway are the screws at each end for the hose clamps that hold on the fake hose ends. I don't mind if they use good quality rubber hose, if they gave me a cost-reduced version without all the bling faux hose stuff. The hard bits appear to be good quality.

So my front catch can PCV hose was completely disconnected. I’ve been driving like that for a while. What are the consequences or long term damage of driving like that

just ordered the radium plate...comes with uprated PCV valve. currently have mountune plate with oem valve...5 years now. i started getting the po171 code last spring. then started noticing a faint whistle sound under light acceleration in 4-6 gears (mostly on the highway). the whistle is noticeably louder now. if this doesn't fix the problem...then i'll still have piece of mind with the better valve.

Stock valve is prone to failure

replaced the baffle plate and pcv valve yesterday. i'm still getting the same whistle sound:rolleyes:
was nice to see the valves were pretty much spotless. throttle body / manifold were bone dry.
retightened all the pcv catch can fittings...which were loose...but were not the whistle noise / leak culprit.
i'll replace the air filter...but i doubt this is the problem, as it was cleaned/oiled 8 months ago.
after that...i'll be looking to perform a vacuum line smoke test.

Sounds like a vacuum leak
