Yeah see we don’t have that in uk, fuel quality is our issue so wmi only real solution without spending as much as the car is worth
Problem is there are no real wmi experts in the uk (although many claim to be 🤣🤣) not as big here as it is across the pond ☹

Oh you can have that for sure OEM ecu or a standalone using a built motor/NX2 combo you just need a high spring tension wastegate (white RS2 and the sheet I posted both use twin port waste gates) along with a few small tweaks to things like VCT. I don't recommend 2,000rpm pulls on a stock motor though. Doing that in higher gears will likely lead to a snapped rod over time.
Appreciate the advice and LSPI is a thing on these engines for sure - you have to be in the right gear. I’m still gonna hold off on the NX2, just because of the variables, and cross my fingers for whatever innovative quick spool setup options may come up next (or if I just get one dirt cheap). Otherwise, IMHO, the stock turbo is bloody excellent.

Mine is 563whp is on pump gas and flex fuel methanol.

Fuel system Standard factory pumps. AUX fuel setup - Inlet manifold is the mountune with their fuel rail and stubby 1000cc injectors and a throttle body spacer.

Oh and I also get very good gas mileage around 28-30 mpg as I’m able to limit boost and shut down the additional 4x injectors and just run the factory.

With 563whp and very good low down torque the car drivability is better than stock even running 285 cam

Then theirs the price of Syvecs which is very competitive compared to others.

I use a Toucan touch screen which lets me see all what the car is doing “live” which also has a gear selected option which is very useful.

This setup is very neat and discrete

absolutely, that’s why adam can’t dial in anymore low down until my fuel supplement is in place

Thought meth be there somewhere
Yup std pump etc is good same with mine

I like your setup alot. I still have the stock intake manifold on my car right now. I'm still undecided on what I want to do with it.

Part One as it could be long winded lol

You probably know everything I’m about to type. This build started around the same time as can’t remember his full name “Henry”. So at that time some of the choices where dictated by the many build failures, mainly in the mapping area.
On my build I had a list of mods I wanted to do which I’d done probably very similar specs on other Ford turbo and N/A cars I’d built.
Getting it breathing and feeding it with fuel and getting rid of the gases.
So I looked at a lot of CAI with a K&N and the Mountune was chosen over the Mishimoto as it’s a two part which becomes important later on (NX2). An another aspect of breathing was to clean up and port the head, bigger valves where looked at but considered over kill for where I wanted to finish 650bhp (not their yet, one mapping session away), but those bigger valves have their place if your squeezing everything you can out of the motor. Again breathing and in a road car I’ve always used the Piper285 cam (since around 1986) which in my opinion is the perfect cam for road and track giving you an additional 1000rpm to redline. Since 1986 the cam has had a couple of refinements and in its evolution just gets better. Headgasket I’m sure someone will ask it is the latest Ford OEM version.
Lastly the exhaust again their wasn’t as much choice as today and after reading and speaking to owners it’s always their exhaust is best lol. So the list was Milltex, Mountune, Remus, Borla (new in the UK) basically thei all the same just a different sound / noise. So I ended up choosing the Borla the Ford Performance (USA only) version as the valve still bolts up the UK version at the time didn’t. So I waited for the USA’s legendary Black Friday sales and ended up getting one shipped to the UK for the same price as a UK system costs around £1300 (including shipping duty tax etc), I added the Milltex Sports Cat 200 cell, as Borla had deleted their Sports Cat.

I am curious if your running a catch can with your setup? Do you have a build thread anywhere? I would love to read through it.

No catch can in those pics, but it shows his mods.

Yes I'm using This Mishimoto Catch can and the Mountune UK RS baffle plate.
It's mounted quite low down so not really visible from the top.

Its not about planting the throttle at 2000rpm its about the ease and driveability of the car even the wife can jump from her Audi A1 and drive the RS without coming home and moaning about stalling or bogging down as it pulls like a tractor.

Love my nx2 on stock motor.
Sounds like you need a wastegate actuator or to adjust the one you have and maybe find a new tuner. Tunewerks has my car sorted. We have the tune turned down in the midrange to keep the stock block happier, he said he can dial in more midrange and faster initial spool but I asked to keep it down.

maybe it’s an expectation issue? One of the reasons I wanted the turbo was to remove the on off switch and low rpm torque of the stock turbo. I wanted it to carry into the revs instead of running out of breath. And it does now. that being said, it’s on e30 and meth. On 93 it feels, well, slower. But it still has the same power band. Just less of it.
