Hey everyone this is my first post in the group so thank you ahead of time if anyone reaches out and or responds. A few months ago I did my first major upgrade to the RS with an Armytrix Catback exhaust and I have mixed reviews, it’s a cool exhaust in the way it functions and sound “okay” in my opinion but it is not as loud as I would’ve liked. I obviously did my YouTube research and thought this was a good option but like any exhaust it’s hard to tell unless it’s in person. Full disclosure I do enjoy the exhaust both opened and closed valve and it is an improvement from the stock exhaust I think, however I want more loudness, pops, burbles, and turbo spool sound from the exhaust and I need help with what options I have to accomplish this. For me loudness isn’t really an issue so I’m open to a lot of cool ideas. Should I try a downpipe? If so Catted/Non? And do I need a tune if I go with a downpipe? Any thoughts and comments are welcome, thanks friends!!!

If your looking for noise then a catless downpipe will be the way to go. You will need a tune as well as you'll throw codes, however with the emissions laws in the USA cobb has removed/blocked that feature for tuners.
Catless should only be on trailered cars with no registration for street use. In the USA it's illegal to remove. Several orginizations for racing have the entry classes still require the cat on modern cars to be class legal in an effort to discourage casual racers using their daily driver for racing from making this illegal mod on a car they likely still drive on the street as well.
If you go catless you can use a defouler on the rear O2 sensor. It essentially spaces the O2 sensor away from the exhaust and only allows a small amount of exhaust gasses to get to it so the sensor thinks the cat is still working. Running catless on the road is not legal and if your state tests emissions you likely would not pass.
