They are fuel lines.

I definitely misunderstood what you were frustrated with but not cool about having to mod your car to get stuff back on. I was thinking you were talking about the Rocker Moldings which I do work on occasionally as a supplier for Ford. The undershields seem to be frustrating altogether though after market parts or not. I have complained about those to some Ford personnel but who knows where that will go. Seems like you are more frustrated with steeda anyways.

I will check on those tubes and see if I can figure out exactly what they are and let you know.

Radiator = replaced. Was less of a pain in the ass than thought, but still took a few hours.

Worked on the sub box some more, it may be ready to get into the car in place tomorrow and I should have time Thursday to start wiring it up and get it playing.

@MorningZ It was great meeting you at cars and coffee 2 weekends ago, thanks for making the trip! You're making some serious progress on the RS and I'm looking forward to seeing it again when it's complete.

Sorry for the late reply but I just got off the ship and back to reality.

We can all do without Reality, lol

Let me know next time you want to hit up a C&C, I'd totally be down to drive out again as long as I'm in town. I know they have them in Apopka and Sanford as well. I'd also totally dig to get your buddy to program the windows up/down for me to, if that requires a special trip out your way, that's fine too.

Audio system = 95% done but up and operational!

Still to do:
- Build top "beauty panels" to make it all look nice (like what I made when I had these amps in my Integra at one point). I'm still trying to figure out best way to get some grills for the woofers integrated in the panels.
- Install the Infinity speakers in all the doors, this is something I can hopefully knock out tonight after work.

Here's some pics:

Storage chambers under the amps

The whole assembly bolted to the car using the car's stand holding the stock woofer/foam in place

All the wiring done up, system up and running after getting the Rockford DSR1 setup (<- pain in the ass).

Hopefully I find time this weekend to work on the top panels! I've already got all the supplies, just need the time.

All my Infinity speakers = installed! Wow what a difference over those crappy Sony speakers.

I haven't really got a good listen in yet, but about to take a 2.5 hour drive to go visit some friends, so i'll get plenty of time to listen and tweak here in near future. It's nice to have bass again.

I had started the trim panels last night with this cardboard mock up, but had some friends come over and stopped working on it. I'll get going on them again on Sunday

Do you still have the inner doors off? I am interested in some full shots of the doors...front and rear if you have them both off. The CAD seems to look funny. I was trying to investigate making the rear door handles unlock the car on touch as well... Irritating that they don't already.

On way back out of Utah after attending the RS Andreniline Academy, what a great time!

After a quick classroom session we immediately hit the East course of the Utah Motorsports Campus and did “Follow Alongs” where an instructor was in the lead in a Mustang and three of us, in our own RS-es, followed him through the 2.2 mile track at a reasonable pace. Once on the back straightaway, the RS in the lead of the 3 let the other two pass so there was a new leader. This was 7 laps of driving, it was awesome that they basically throw you right into a car.

Second thing was driving about 5-6 laps either with an instructor riding along or alone, then 5-6 more laps with the opposite (so i started with no instructor, then had one jump in 1/2 way through). I learned a lot about the RS’s braking capabilities as the instructor talked me through a few things. He then got behind the wheel for two laps with me riding in passenger seat and REALLY showed what the car was capable of (sliding sideways around corners!).

After lunch, half of our group of 18 students went to the figure 8 area and did 7 laps of that apiece, learning:
- What the car felt like in “Normal” mode driving like this
- What the car was like in Sport mode + they also let us use launch control. They weren’t kidding when they say “dump the clutch” lol
- Then Track mode (no launch though). Wow, this was my first time ever in this mode, it felt great except on tight turns that suspension really barks back at you through the steering wheel.
- Final lap was in Normal mode to show us what we were missing.

From there, the two groups of 9 switched places as we headed to another area where there was a water truck wetting down part of the parking lot so we could give Drift mode a whirl. First the instructors took us literally “for a spin” and then we changed seats so we could try ourselves. My thoughts on this: it was HARD as hell to pull this off correctly. The car has so much feedback and it was super difficult to manage the steering wheel and throttle to make a nice tight spin, even though I didn’t pull off a good attempt, it was still fun. Two others in the group pulled off some nice drifts and one of the intructors was going in a nice spin counter clockwise, spun out, then just continued going clockwise, that was pretty awesome.

Taking all we learned into the final event, the “Urban-X”, which involved some pretty tight turns, a little slalom action, the figure 8 and a screeching stop at the end <- loved this part. I’m still not all too familiar with the car as I’m so used to stuff in my other car, so my times weren’t great and I finished mid-pack, but it’s all good, it was a lot of fun and i learned way more than I thought I could in one day!

Remember that this event is “free” (its more like “included” in price of car), all you need to do is get there to Salt Lake City and pay for hotel and car rental. All it takes is calling them (https://www.rsadrenalineacademy.com/en/) and providing your VIN number. I think you have up to one year from date of purchase to take advantage.

I can’t recommend doing this enough!!

Dan, Matt or Chris, if you read this, glad to meet you guys!

Finished one little project yesterday, more light in the hatch. More details on this are here in this thread (sorry, people on this forum seem to insist on making threads into train wrecks, it's really too bad)

Also spent some time before work this morning getting my audio system's top panels going. Not happy with this initial cut as it doesn't match along the bottom, so i'll cut up another piece to do better.

I've got a plan to get them all together to the point I can store/put stuff on top of all this, we'll see if I can actually pull it off :)

Nice progress, thanks for the information on the Adrenaline curriculum! I just bought my car and I'm super excited to get signed up once the 2018 dates are released.

Used the RS, now my only car as I sold my Integra last week, to spend a weekend up in St Augustine camping over the weekend.

My Dad offered to lend me his hitch-mount storage rack, it helped out as I had a lot of stuff to bring up. I sure miss having a truck (I sold my crew cab F150 so I could buy the RS).

On the way home I came most of the way driving along A1A, definitely in my top three favorite roads here in Florida.

I’m such a homer... I’m off all next week so I decided “time to paint the garage floor”, so I’m incorporating the blue from the RS logo in my plans, at least as close to it that this guy mixing the paint can get anyways. We will see end of week how it turns out!
