This is so crazy to me as I also recognized the name but wasn't sure if there was a correlation. Team-Integra was the first car forum I ever joined and was super helpful with my first build. Man I miss that car

I always enjoy running across people from TI here on this site!

Well tonight was run #1 of trying to get the tire rack together. It was a huge failure lol. I didn't have it drawn out well enough and we ended up wasting the metal we had. The thing I hadn't considered that my friend brought up was some potential side to side wobbling by what I had drawn up.

So back to the old drawing board and leaning on the picture Cerberos posted above, I'm going to pick up some round tube in the morning for a redesign which will also have individual slots for each tire. He's got a tube bender so L-shaped the sides of it will be one continuous piece so that should cut down on some inherent weakness.

Thankfully I type for a living and don't write/draw :)

Here is another variation on the bed-rack theme found in the off-road community.

I'll be out at the ranch this weekend and can take a couple of photos of the one I use in my truck. It's more focused on transporting fuel, water, jack, tool box and supplies and less about tires. However, it has very similar features and my feed your creative juices on your project.

I’ve done that before for local track day. I’m looking for something more secure as I’m embarking on a 2800 mile road trip in 3 weeks

7 days on jack stands was enough! Just took her for a spin after the adventurous week. No more tea kettle with the Mishimoto hot side pipe in place, although it DOES make a mean/gnarly growl now at low RPM's (this is definitely the air flowing in the pipe).

Cars & Coffee in the morning, and then sometime week after next the front end will again come off for 3 more things (Scrape Armor, cold side IC pipe (ooooh, i had "RPM" points, so knocked off another $10) and Sound Suppression Chamber. I won't have two of the three on hand until the end of this coming week, so I'm taking the week off from working on the RS, unless my friend wants us to get started on the wheel/tire rack. :)
So if you had to do the IC pipes all over again how would it go down?

Was there no way for you to get another adapter to work with your other hard pipes you already bought? Did the company Depo not want to work with you or the time crunch was the bigger problem? I saw reference to a whistle noise but must have missed it somewhere in this thread (or another).

I would have just bit the bullet and bought the Mishimoto IC pipes. I tried to save a few bucks (actually it was almost a few hundred bucks) trying the Depo Racing ones and got burned.

The Depo ones sat around for a good month+ and right off the bat when I went to install it I had a key missing piece and then fitment issues with both pipes, but the Mishimoto IC inlets being the culprit.

For the missing piece, i had it in my hands in three days after talking to him and for the fitment, if it's any IC other than Mishimoto they should work fine.

The product page does state "Mounts to stock intercooler and most aftermarket brands.". *Most* being the key word there, he simply didn't know it wouldn't fit my IC as it's still pretty new to the market.

Another local RS buddy was over today and we did a few things to his car. He pulled the RS into my garage, and I went to open the hood and I was in complete awe with the hood shocks he had on. I just had to order a set

After reading a 14 page thread on this site, I went with the Steeda set

We then went through the painful process of getting his non-jack-railed RS on jack stands, so I in turn tried to talk him into buying a set of those :)

I've got a lot of my parts added to my RS but two really stand out in the world of "usefulness", and they are both Steeda parts.

When i first got the car I put a set of Steeda Jack Rails (link) on the car and they've spoiled me! It's downright painful to jack up a Focus without them at this point (and I've worked on 2-3 other RS's since then, cursing the whole time with the stock jack points lol)

And now as pointed out above, a set of Steeda Hood Shocks. These rule! No more dorking around with the hood prop. One thing I didn't see noticed at all in instructions or previous talk about these was that when closed the shocks push down and distort the plastic cowl (red arrow in the third picture), so I ended up shaving a little of the plastic away with my Dremel tool so it didn't do that.

I can't think of a better way to spend $250 for these two items on an RS

Yesterday was the furthest I've driven the RS in one day (almost 500 miles) and using the Cobb OTS tune's "Eco mode" (third slot) I was able to average about 24 mpg. that was the first time since I've been tracking that I've gotten > 20mpg

Custom tire rack = underway, hopefully will have it done this weekend

Big huge road trip starts in two weeks

I'll be on Tail of the Dragon three weeks from Tuesday.

The Steeda struts are one of the most useful mods I've done. And I like the fact that they don't say "Redline" all over them. Very OEM looking.

I do like the hood struts as well - especially the CPC units that Ryan @FocusRSShop sells that are paint matched. They nearly hide from sight...but they cost a little more for that paint match.

Wow, I just read that whole 20 page thread over the last hour or two. That was really well done. I love the hood struts they make everything so easy!
