TPMS/mounting cost not included with winter wheel pkg?

I'm about to do the 1 1/2 hr drive to pick up my new RS. It's snowing and the car has the PSS tires on it. I ordered the winter wheel package as well so asked the dealer to mount them to the car for me. He said he can do it but I need to purchase the TPMS sensors and pay for the mounting.

I seemed to recall reading somewhere that that cost is supposed to be absorbed by the dealer and then they get reimbursed by Ford. However, I couldn't find that thread.

Anyone know the answer, or can point me to the thread?

Thanks.

The sensors come with the package (they are somewhat unique to the RS) and the wheel and tire mounting is included. There is an installation sheet included with the package that states the dealer's responsibilities. The mounting on the car is not included, but for a $40,000 car, the dealer should do it for free. If he refuses, ask for them to deliver the mounted wheels and tires to your home.(it's their responsibility to deliver them, they are not supposed to be transported in the car). I'm sure they would rather do a wheel swap than a delivery. Don't forget the door sticker, it has your tire pressures and usually gets thrown out by the tech doing the mounting. They are supposed to give you everything in the pictures below.

I'll have to see if I can find the extra detail sheets and the stickers... I certainly don't have the 200 km/h limit sticker on the dash ;)

The dealer mounted the winters on my car but I did end up transporting the summers myself (in bags) when I took delivery of the RS.

Not sure about this particular setup but on my truck the TPMS sensors were basically part of the tire valve assembly. My tire shop crushed one on a flat repair...

Excerpt from Ford Media release:

The winning setup is a 225/40R18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 tire mounted to a new 18x7.5-inch wheel, which looks very similar to the base Focus RS option, but is finished in sparkle silver to hide salt spray. The set is complete with tire pressure monitoring sensors and center caps fully mounted and balanced and ready for installation at the dealer

You guys are awesome (and quick!). I was able to send the link to them and clarify so we're on the same page. However it doesn't take away from the fact they don't have the TPMS sensors. I asked them to double check the boxes the wheels came in but no luck.

Do you guys have any idea how the TMPS sensors actually get shipped? With the wheels/tires or as a completely separate package? Just trying to help them locate my sensors so I can go pick up my car!

When I picked up my RS from dealer stock, it was about 20 degrees and snowing. (Didn't really want to take it home that day, but couldn't resist.) The car came with the winter wheel and tire package and to my amazement, they already had them mounted and balanced. The dealer swapped out the summers for winters same day, no questions asked. They even torqued the lugs by hand! Like others said, for a $40,000 sale, they should do whatever you ask in this case.
