Hey guys, the following is a correspondence between myself and the forum Ford rep. in regards to this issue:
"PROGRAM TERMS:
This program will be in effect through November 30, 2017. There is no mileage limit for this program.
AFFECTED VEHICLES:
Vehicle: Focus RS
Model Year: 2016-2017
Assembly Plant: Saarlouis
Build Dates: August 3, 2015 through September 26, 2016
REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM:
In some of the affected vehicles, when subjected to high performance driving conditions, it is possible the engine may experience a low oil level condition due to increased oil consumption. Continued high performance driving with low engine oil level may lead to internal engine damage or catastrophic engine failure.
SERVICE ACTION:
Dealers are to reprogram the PCM using Integrated Diagnostic Software (IDS) release 102.02 or higher. Additionally, an owner’s manual supplement addendum advising the owner of more frequent engine oil level checks will be included with the owner letter mailing. The addendum is to be inserted in to the owner’s manual, page 336. This service must be performed on all affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner.
OWNER NOTIFICATION MAILING SCHEDULE:
Owner letters are expected to be mailed the week of November 14, 2016. Dealers should repair any affected vehicles that arrive at their dealerships, whether or not the customer has received a letter.

Lastly, you will receive your “Owner Letter” within the next couple of weeks. This will explain the whole process and what steps you will need to take once your vehicle arrives."
Hope this helps.
