I had my windshield replaced a few months ago in my '16 RS. I was able to get the updated windshield without the big black empty "nose" around the rearview mirror. I upgraded the mirror to a frameless one with Homelink and autodimming. It looks nice. However, the tech that did the install appears to have gotten something on his hands and when they were installing the rubber trim pieces on either side, their fingers left the rubber with obvious fingerprints that have messed up those two pieces. I used some 303 protectant on it, which helped, but I can still see it. I suspect some brake clean or something on his hands have damaged the rubber.

I THINK they are:

CP9Z-5803136-A (right)
CP9Z-5803137-A (left)

About $25 each, right?

I assume these just pop on?

Thanks!

Ok, I snagged those; however, I've noticed that the installer appears to have snapped a few of the retaining "clips" from the "retainer moulding" you have listed above. The mouldings appear to be held pretty firmly in place, so I think it is ok; however, can one replace the retainer-moulding pieces without removing the glass? How are those things held in place? I didn't spot any obvious fastener and I hope they aren't glued down when the glass goes in. I'll probably leave it, but my OCD is being triggered knowing it isn't quite correct.
