Hello again!

I just got a nice pressure washer last week and made the car wash process go so much faster and easier. But now I think I'm in the market for an Air Dryer/leaf blower to reduce the chance of swirls while drying the car.

I was seeing this on Amazon:

Toro 51585 Power Sweep Electric Leaf Blower, 7 Amp 2-Speed
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012QLVRM/ref=twister_B00LVVYJUO?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Do you guys have any good recommendations?

That's the one I have, had it for 3 years now, no problems!

Leaf blowers are definitely the best for drying.

Use mine all the time!
Same here the neighbors look at me a little weird, Fathers day I tried out the Foam Cannon dried with the leaf blower and did a little Tig job that night...:peach:

Looks like a nice unit, your gonna get some looks aiming that at your new car:surprise:

Hmmm that EGO one looks really good.
Idk why but I always though MPH was the stat that I should be looking for, but apparently CFM is where it's at.

Thinking about getting it from Home Depot and trying it out this weekend, if I don't like it then I can just return it :p
Thanks for the suggestions so far, guys!

Yep! Done!

EDIT: Also should note, I was looking at the entire line of leaf blowers at Home Depot, and the most powerful gas leaf blower, was 510 CFM and it was $329... I think this is the one for me!

I'd say not very likely as long as the general area around your car is already clean when your about to dry it off. I plan on keeping my driveway relatively clean, especially now that I have an awesome Car Dryer leaf blower:)

And that wasn't even in TURBO MODE! :) Grats on the purchase - this thing is a BEAST!

Glad to read this thread. I was wondering about the debri. But I don't see anyone here complaining. I'm currently using a RV inline water filter to filter the water for a final soft rinse but this sound easier and cheaper.

I also have a master blaster and highly recommend it. I previously used a leaf blower for about a year and while it was able to get the job done, it took 3-4 times as much time and was a hassle to do, esp for the smaller spots where excess water gets trapped (e.g. fog lights, front grill, intercooler, mirrors, sills, spoiler). If you're willing to shell out the ~$400, it's the best option.

i suggest a different route. I found one of these at an equipment reseller for cheap (had been eyeing them for over a year before finding this one). I was the car normally, then switch over to this and rinse the entire car off well. Not one spot anymore and i have a Black RS and exceptionally hard well water.

This is my toy ...

It's not super powerful and it has a rubber hose for protecting the car from accidental hits.

I will still use the waffle weave to dry and now combine with the blower afterwards - I am a bit too paranoid of using the blower and then the waffle weave in that order in case dust or small particles fly on the car and gets rubbed in by the cloth !!!
