I did a lot of searching, but I wasn't able to find out anything about this.
Does anyone know if I buy a new or used 2016 or 2017 from a Ford dealer if the head gasket will be fixed? All of the stories are making me anxious, and we're getting real close to the end of January 2018, when the repair window closes.
Also, does anyone know if there's a public tool online where I can check if non-Ford dealership cars have had the fix done? I'm still open to buying from a private party. However, I am really leaning towards new at this point, as four out of four RSs I've seen in person had <20k miles on them and something with the car yelled "Prior owner was an idiot". Namely: One side accident (11k miles on the car), one blown transmission (19k on the car), one blown engine (1.6k miles on the car), and the other car was a repo car.
Thanks in advance!
