I am either looking for a bent drive shaft so I can take the CV bearing off of it (if its in good condition).
Or I am looking for the bearing itself.

I attached a photo from another post of something similar that happened to me.
My drive shaft is good, I'm just looking for the CV bearings.
I cannot seem to find the bearing alone online to replace it.

Backstory on this? This is the first failure I’ve seen. You’ll likely need to find a complete assembly from salvage if you don’t purchase new.

He is rebuilding an RS he purchased.

If I didn't want to buy a new one I'd take it to a driveshaft repair facility. They have access to just about every component available in the driveshaft world.

Ciao

I'll take a look at that. For me it's the difference between $800 vs maybe like $150?
I'd really prefer not to have to get a new driveshaft

Hey sorry to necropost, but can I ask how you ended up resolving this? I have the EXACT damage to my driveshaft on a car I'm rebuilding as well. Seems wasteful to buy a whole new driveshaft for a part that looks easily rebuildable.

Take it to a specialist drive shaft repairer. These things are unitised these days and individual components aren't generally available as simple replacements. My DD Escape failed a centre tailshaft bearing early but out of warranty. A few years back a $50 bearing assembly and a few hours work and it's fixed. Now a complete replacement tailshaft from Ford, parts cost $1700au plus labour OR $400 to replace the bearing only and re weld and balance the shaft at a tailshaft repairer.

I couldn’t find a part to repair mine and had to buy a new one.
‘if you find a place where they can be repaired let us know.
I still have my damaged one.
