What did you do to your FoRS today?

I've been anxiously waiting for more FoRS's to make in on the road before starting this thread. It's time to show us what you're done: ie.. added, modified, got your hands dirty or want to show off some new wheels or fixed something minor, hopefully nothing too catastrophic. Photos are a BIG plus! So here's the first mention of what have I done to my FoRS today.

This weekend I ordered an oil analysis for Dewey from Blackstone Labs:

Blackstone's standard analysis will tell you what you need to know about the condition of your engine and how it's wearing. The standard analysis costs $28.00 and includes the following:

Spectral Exam: Establishes the levels of wear metals, silicon, and additives present in the oil. Also checks for coolant.

Viscosity: Determines the grade of oil.

Insolubles: Quantifies the percentage of solids present in the oil.

Flashpoint: The flashpoint is the temperature at which the vapors from the oil ignite. When the flash is lower than it should be, it shows a contaminant (usually fuel) is present.

Standard Analysis

I'll be saving a sample for the kit when I do a 500 mile oil change. I only need to collect at least 2.5 oz to do all of the Blackstone tests and then mail back the kit for analysis.

Booked a track day in ~2 weeks so figured I should Jack up the RS and check the damage from when I hit a big rock in the canyons.

thank god I had the DMGfab splitter which took the brunt of the impact. Some bent subframe but on parts that don’t matter

Took the wife to the Honda dealership to be the "bad cop". I hate dealerships with a passion, such scum. Our sales guy wasn't too bad, but the "sit here while I check with the manager" dance is such garbage.

Anyway, I did notice that Honda seems to be playing catch-up with the NB and SG colors haha

so decon wash is the same as clay barring?

It was 8lbs lighter than the stock passenger seat. I can't remember the weight.

Drivers would be quite a bit more.

I think he's just doing a proper thorough deep clean.
He was starting the polishing this afternoon, so may have some more pics later.

AR-1's are strictly track tires. What kind of racing do you do: hill climb, circuit, drags?

Straightened everything out, was able to reuse my splitter buy I did weld up two new side support brackets. I always disliked how the original side support was a flat straight piece, it would push against the fender liner and wider tires/wheels would hit it. As seen in this photo from 2019

especially on the other side where there was a big ecu thing right at the fender liner. I swapped for steel rod and welded washers to it, done! Lots more clearance now

and unrelated finally got my exhaust adapter done and starter motor in. The gsxr rebuild is complete!
