What did you do to your FoRS today?

I've been anxiously waiting for more FoRS's to make in on the road before starting this thread. It's time to show us what you're done: ie.. added, modified, got your hands dirty or want to show off some new wheels or fixed something minor, hopefully nothing too catastrophic. Photos are a BIG plus! So here's the first mention of what have I done to my FoRS today.

This weekend I ordered an oil analysis for Dewey from Blackstone Labs:

Blackstone's standard analysis will tell you what you need to know about the condition of your engine and how it's wearing. The standard analysis costs $28.00 and includes the following:

Spectral Exam: Establishes the levels of wear metals, silicon, and additives present in the oil. Also checks for coolant.

Viscosity: Determines the grade of oil.

Insolubles: Quantifies the percentage of solids present in the oil.

Flashpoint: The flashpoint is the temperature at which the vapors from the oil ignite. When the flash is lower than it should be, it shows a contaminant (usually fuel) is present.

Standard Analysis

I'll be saving a sample for the kit when I do a 500 mile oil change. I only need to collect at least 2.5 oz to do all of the Blackstone tests and then mail back the kit for analysis.

Good lesson to share there. Thanks for this writeup, I need to do this also. Is the cause just breakdown of that gasket? I'm not up to speed on that.
I had my leak pretty early on, so I don't think it's break down over time. I've always suspected that I caused it to leak after all that hammering trying to get the damn roll pin out for the mountune shift arm install. I'm starting to think its always been a factory issue...

It's not a hard job at all, not sure you even need to replace the tower if you can clean the mating surfaces up really well with IPA.
I'm actually surpised you replaced the tower. I did what you mentioned and reused mine, but that's because I had to modify it as part of my CAE install.

Swapped to summer wheels, will have used tires I picked up installed sooner than later as the indy500 are worn out! Also installed the summers on my mom’s R while I was there!

Confirmed my handbrake cable is completely worn out at the rear calipers as I suspected, with a bonus seized handbrake mechanism on the passenger side, was going to fix it next week so adding a caliper to my list!

New tyres. This time I went with Continental SportContact 7's because they out-rank Michelin PS4S in reviews. Very similar tread pattern and same specs as the 4S, but as you can see, not as square in the sidewall. I've not driven on them "properly" yet... should be interesting.

Finally car on the ground after installing Montoune springs. Short testdrive (5 km) and the pogo is still there but maybe the springs need some more miles on them before pogo is lowered?

Just got my Montoune roll restrictor fitted at Ford.
Completely changed the car! Now it feels as it should! Wonderful feeling.

I recall people saying the springs took a bit of time to settle in before the pogo was gone, hope that's the case for you. Do you have the DSC controller as well or just the springs?

Just the springs.
The DSC makes a world of a difference, that what I did and the Pogo went away.

Much, much forgiving in street driving, especially with le pot holes.
Just the springs.
I just have the DSC and didn't eliminate the pogo in my wife's mind. I've been considering the springs over the full Tractive coilovers since the prices got out of hand quite a while ago, but I'm slow on pulling the trigger on either. I'd love to spend $400 for springs instead of $7k for coilovers. Send an update if it gets better!

Well a update then after a few days, not used the car that much but the pogo feels quite gone I would say. Definetly a lot better! Like 80-90 % gone.

I recommend checking all 4 and removing plastic from the surface of rims.. I did not, and 2 of them had left this once the plastic was removed .. And was not able to be removed..

Reached out to Titan 7…. Great experience, they have sent me 2 replacements.. Now just waiting for them to arrive and finally get these rims on my car!

Also, center caps in progress..
