I like that story, good for you liking the deltas since the start! My 8v integrale was originally a Spanish market car (Madrid then Bilbao) and the climate there really helped preserve the metal. There's no separate thread on this forum about my cars but i'm active on all the Lancia delta forums. I bought the RS because I live in NY state and wanted something that was fun for the winter, had rally spec (I love the Sierra and Escort RS models) and had a corrosion warranty!!

This is now, original alloys are back on View attachment 321744
Very nice indeed. The Evo looks superb (I am very jealous) and the 8V very tidy indeed...it looks great in white....A friend of mine has a white one with the 16V bonnet too. A man of my own heart you are..... I have a 1990 HF 16V which I bought about 4 months ago to compliment the '69 Alpine A110 I bought in 2017. I got my MK3 RS in 2016 and before that had a MK2 RS (which I would have loved to keep as well).

Nauli, i'll return the jealousy - I love those Alpines! Really wish the new builds would make it to the US. Great cars for sure, both the classic versions and the new ones!!
I do have the original 8v 'flat' bonnet but fitted a 16v one that I found in good condition. Reason for that was I plan to put a light-pod up front and they can wear the bonnet edge. So I thought i'd preserve the original metal-work. The 16v bonnets are also better for cooling in the hot summer months we get in NY-state with their larger air-dams.
How are you getting on with the 16v? It looks in great nick. Are you on the Evocorner forum? Its been a god-send for me for everyday maintenance and parts advice.

Hi Vagabond....The 16V is now going well after the "normal" niggly issues that these cars can have. I wasn't looking specifically for one but this one kinda fell in my lap. The main reason I bought it was to do some historic tarmac rallies in.......having sold my Subaru Spec C tarmac rally car in 2017 I was starting to miss doing these events and the Integrale seemed a good compromise to have fun without the full on competition that the Spec C was used for. The Integrale is in pretty good nick....the main thing is that it doesn't have any rust apart from a few minor bubbles on the windscreen which I will fix in due course. I've put a half cage, race seats and harnesses in it as well as replacing the radiator, fixing the lighting, replacing broken door handles, new stainless 3" exhaust etc. I've just purchased a set (6) of 16 x 7.5 rims from the UK for it. I've had good assistance from the likes of Tanc Barratt, AE Car and Deltaworks in the UK for advice and sorting bits.....Eddie from AE and Paul from Deltaworks are particularly helpful.
I wasn't aware of the Evocorner forum. Will check it out.

PS there is one of the new Alpines here in Perth and I had a sit in it a few weeks ago....gorgeous!

Mate! nice job, thats going to be a ton of fun. You've got a nice Group N set-up for the tarmac stages right there.
Those UK parts dealers are very helpful guys, i'll second that. Hopefully see you on the EvoCorner Forum (its worth the annual donation). My username there is NYIntegrale.

I picked this up today below MSRP, '18 Raptor, and yes, I had to trade-in the RS (already miss it) -

I'd guess you will need another TJ or an LJ at some point. ;)
I would’ve loved an LJ, but sadly it wasn’t to be. At this point I’d probably just build the JK. The TJ and YJ started as other people’s half finished projects and I’m not sure I want to deal with that mess again.
