I'm not sure if I'm a dollar short n a day late on the subject of the 2.3l ecoboost engine material specs but I'm feeling really really good hearing that it utilizes an actual STEEL crank (not cast) and STEEL FORGED connecting rods as well ad some other much deserved upgrades!!! Sounds like a boost upgradable friendly platform!!!

The RS will also employ stronger cylinder liners, along with upgraded alloy for the head, stronger head gasket, and a larger compressor on the turbo.

The 2.3 in the Mustang has been doing good, but acts like the ST when tuned. Huge TQ curve down low that tapers pretty quick to redline. I'm hoping the RS will be able to breath better up top.
