WA dealer pre-order

Hi guys.

I'm new to the forum. I currently drive an old Fiesta ST and I am thinking of getting a Focus RS maybe sometime next year (hopefully).
I would just like some advice on which dealers are commended. I live in WA Perth.
Can anyone recommend a dealer that offer great pricing and service?

Any anecdote/advice on pre-ordering?
Do you have to pay in full for pre-order or a just a certain amount?
Are dealers adding mark-up like in the US?

Any advice is appreciated.
Much Thanks.

Very useful info. Thank you so much guys. I can tell this is a great community to be in already.
Anyone have experience with John Hughes Ford at Shepperton Victoria Park? Seems that's my nearest dealer (like 5 mins drive lol)
Anyone of you guys pass by UWA today? I saw one in Nitrous Blue this morning (14/09)? Probably around 7:30 am. lol
Just wanted to give and update that I have signed a contract for the order and will be making my deposit next week =]
Was busy the last couple of weeks so I wasn't able to work on this.

Thanks to all the replies and advice. You guys rock!

Thanks guys. I ended up going with Range Ford. The guy i spoke to was very direct and told me straight up: "Okay so at what price are you looking at that you won't call other dealers?"
I gave him a very reasonable number and he said: "Okay I can do that but you have to sign a contract today."
And that was that lol.
Will be meeting him next week for the deposit and possibly to get my Fiesta valued for trade-in if they price it reasonably or i may have to sell it privately...

There were pms suggesting going with McInerney Ford and look for Caleb but unfortunately he was on leave for a couple of weeks. The guy I spoke to didn't know much about the RS tbh and he quoted me with $66k. Lol...
I'm like "thanks, i'll see what other dealers have on offer and maybe I'll call u back."
Welcome Kris and congrats. Who did you end up going through? I was going to +1 for Midway Ford.

Now cross those fingers for a cancellation so you can move up the list :)
I noticed you got a Moutune OZ Legeera m-spec for your RS. Did you order that as option on the dealer here in Perth or did you privately purchase it and have it shipped here?
Great stuff Sleeper. Welcome to the club. Any idea on delivery timeframe?
@ashy are you still keeping your list up to date of orders/deliveries?
Thanks mate! I appreciate the welcome.
I was quoted at least 10 months wait-list which is fine by me =]
I had an extremely bad experience with Range Ford albeit about 20 years ago and on the basis of that would never trust or recommend them....though management may have changed since last century!
Will certainly be vigilant as always!
I want to ask with regard to tinting. Do dealers offer tinting services and would you guys recommend them?
I'm looking to have my car tinted (i dont like the idea that ppl see can see me in the car) hopefully ones that include some sort of UV protection from the sun.
Definitely DO NOT get the dealer to do it....it will cost you a packet. I had mine done at Protec Window Tinting in Osborne Park...call Yus on 0419 901 715....they do an excellent job at a reasonable price (<$400)...tell them Steve with the blue RS and Subaru rally car sent you. When mine was being done they were also tinting a Ferrari F488 and a McLaren as well as a couple of A45's. They do a lot of work for Barbagallo and Chellingworth.
Awesome! Thanks!
UPDATE: Dropped by dealer to make my deposit. The sales guy i spoke to was generally OK but they passed me on to the Accessories department. Specifically, they passed me on to this lady who tried to sell me extended warranties and, most annoyingly, Protektiv tint and paint protection. I politely declined both but the lady became particularly upset when I refused to get the Protektiv tint and paint protection... which incidentally cost $2,000!
It took all my patience to hold back telling her to "go fly a kite." I told her I would think about it and she said she'll call me Monday to see if I've changed my mind lol.

I took a look at Protec as per your recommendation. Seems they have 3 types of tint: regular Carbon, CarbonCXP, and InfinityOP. Which one would you recommend?
Also interested in getting their Paint Protection Film service. Comments on this?
I read a couple of suggestion in this forum to get Opticoat Pro. If i get this, I wouldn't need the Paint Protection Film anymore?
I can't comment on which tint to go for, but as for the Opticoat coating, it is a ceramic resin paint protection. The Ventureshield paint protection film that Yus applies is an extremely high gloss vinyl. This would have a higher resistance to stone chips and road sand blasting. The down side to Ventureshield is that when you look closely at the vehicle, you can see the vinyl edges.
I've put many of my clients onto Yus and seen his work first hand on some veeeery expensive exotic vehicles. His work is first rate.
Thanks for your input Gav.

LOL when I was buying my Mk2 RS I told the salesman if you make me go and sit through that accessory hard sell meeting I will not buy it..

He said he had to. I said fine forget it.

He went to see the DP and next minute I didn't have to go sit with them :)
I will do this the next time I buy a car. LOL
They haven't gotten back to me on build dates yet. They just told me to expect a wait list of 10 to 18 months and that they'll contact me once a build date has been given =]
