Very useful info. Thank you so much guys. I can tell this is a great community to be in already.
I noticed you got a Moutune OZ Legeera m-spec for your RS. Did you order that as option on the dealer here in Perth or did you privately purchase it and have it shipped here?Welcome Kris and congrats. Who did you end up going through? I was going to +1 for Midway Ford.
Now cross those fingers for a cancellation so you can move up the list![]()
Thanks mate! I appreciate the welcome.Great stuff Sleeper. Welcome to the club. Any idea on delivery timeframe?
@ashy are you still keeping your list up to date of orders/deliveries?
Will certainly be vigilant as always!I had an extremely bad experience with Range Ford albeit about 20 years ago and on the basis of that would never trust or recommend them....though management may have changed since last century!
Awesome! Thanks!Definitely DO NOT get the dealer to do it....it will cost you a packet. I had mine done at Protec Window Tinting in Osborne Park...call Yus on 0419 901 715....they do an excellent job at a reasonable price (<$400)...tell them Steve with the blue RS and Subaru rally car sent you. When mine was being done they were also tinting a Ferrari F488 and a McLaren as well as a couple of A45's. They do a lot of work for Barbagallo and Chellingworth.
I took a look at Protec as per your recommendation. Seems they have 3 types of tint: regular Carbon, CarbonCXP, and InfinityOP. Which one would you recommend?Definitely DO NOT get the dealer to do it....it will cost you a packet. Thanks for your input Gav.I can't comment on which tint to go for, but as for the Opticoat coating, it is a ceramic resin paint protection. The Ventureshield paint protection film that Yus applies is an extremely high gloss vinyl. This would have a higher resistance to stone chips and road sand blasting. The down side to Ventureshield is that when you look closely at the vehicle, you can see the vinyl edges.
I've put many of my clients onto Yus and seen his work first hand on some veeeery expensive exotic vehicles. His work is first rate.
I will do this the next time I buy a car. LOLLOL when I was buying my Mk2 RS I told the salesman if you make me go and sit through that accessory hard sell meeting I will not buy it..
He said he had to. I said fine forget it.
He went to see the DP and next minute I didn't have to go sit with them![]()
