Any takers for a blowout price on these in exchange for some install photos and a review?
I sent you a pm about thisAny takers for a blowout price on these in exchange for some install photos and a review?
Newbie to coilovers: Can I use them to increase my current ride height from stock for winter duty? If so, how does this affect handling or ride comfort? I found that when I changed to to the supplied winter tires/rims I actually am a little lower than the summer 19s on forged. I didn't measure it but I do scrape slightly in places I never did before. My ideal situation would be to increase (from stock) 1" in winter and lower (from stock) maybe 3/4" just for looks. Will coilovers do this for me? Also - if I have them installed by a dealer what should I expect for hours? To raise/lower I assume I have to remove the wheels for access to adjust?Beautiful thing about Coilovers is the adjustability. You can always go lower on track days.
Got it and just replied!I sent you a pm about this![]()
Most coilovers have a min drop of ~3/4". they can be raised slightly (1/4") but you'll start compromising suspension travel as you do it. Most people that rally go with special coilovers designed for more ride height and additional travel.Newbie to coilovers: Can I use them to increase my current ride height from stock for winter duty? This is the reason why I am offering a generous discount. I need someone to buy these and give the community the details that I can't seem to get out of KW. I've talked to multiple people and the reality is that on this side of the pond, nobody knows anything. I have left several messages for Ken Block but he's not calling me back.I would really like to know the camber adjustment range too. In any case it will be better than stock bc as soon as you lower the car you'll get more negative front camber so any additional negative camber from the upper mount would be a bonus.
Most of the KW stuff has a min drop of 20mm, any idea what these are?
This kind of adjustability depends heavily on the car and the product. At this point we don't know much about either, especially when you combine the two, we know even less.Newbie to coilovers: Can I use them to increase my current ride height from stock for winter duty? The easiest way to gain ride height for the winter is to run taller/skinner tires...but sounds like you e already got a set., so that is problematic.
Also remember that altering ride height using coilovers or springs changes suspension position and alignment....taller tire has no affect on suspension position.
Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound like coilovers are the answer for me then as I am primarily looking for a way to increase ride height. I don't know how much more I should increase the tire height as that of course reduces my clearance in the wheel wells and there is not a whole lot of room there to begin with. This is the reason why I am offering a generous discount. I have quoted one person and given him the details of what I am expecting in return. I'm not asking much but it's a one time offer, first come, first served. If I could give you guys anymore info I would.

Typically you are dealing with a shortened spring and a shortened shock body which aids in the direction of going lower. The best most coilovers will do will raise it to stock height or maybe slightly higher. My personal experience with coilovers have always been to lower the car so I can't comment on how the ride is at stock or a raised position.
Install time depending on who's doing it shouldn't be more than an hour a corner. Taking the wheels off makes it a heck of a lot easier to access for raising or lowering the car.
I think that a winter beater might be the best solution to your dilemma. At least for those extreme weather days and to keep miles off the RS.Thanks for the info. One way to check on ride height limits would be to checkout the specs for a similar KW set for ST.
I don't know of any coilover designed for handling that doesn't require a minimum height reduction of 10mm and most are 20mm.
I can't get anything done this week. SEMA rules the aftermarket world and my reps are all there.Have you gotten shock Dyno graphs yet?
Thank you @Gesundlich for snagging that last set!I'll be your third. Check your PM.
Received my set today! Working out a deal for some shop space to get these installed in the next few weeks. Get ready for video and photos!Shout out to @mullick for placing his deposit down on these! I appreciate anyone willing to test out a brand new product for the benefit of the community! Just so you know he got a great deal on these and I am willing to extend that same deal to 1 or 2 more people who will also document the install with photos and give a review.
PM me for the details!
