So I’m in the process of tuning my focus. I was sent a base map to run some logs on. After receiving the 1st revision, my car threw this code(P061b). The car would lose all power. And essentially **** off while I’m driving. When I turn the car off and back on, the problem would go away only for the process to repeat itself. I haven’t had this problem with any other maps. I’ve hit up to 27 psi with no problem on other maps. My tuner said it has to be something wrong with the car bc everything looks good on their end. I’m at a loss. Please help!!!

I have had this code come up a couple of times recently, for me it's on startup and the engine chugs and stalls and then throws this code. From what I have read, and from what the dealer service department have said on the 3 times I've taken it to them to check, it's either something on the intake (bad sensor, loose connection, loose pipe/coupling) causing the ECU to read air/AFR values of what it thinks it should be, or it is the ECU/PCM being dodgy (which would require a full refresh)... maybe something in the throttle or manifold (eg. if the throttle sensor/flap is stuffed as well)
I'm pretty sure that in my case it's something mechanical/parts related rather than PCM fault - even though the dealer service techs found 'nothing'. It's booked in to see a specialist mechanic next week, between him & I we have a few more theories potentially.

If I were you, I'd check all your connections in and out of the turbo and throttle, and if possible check if there's any crap/blockage potentially getting stuck.

Just threw this code today while trying out a new tune. My throttle wasn’t working in normal position causing me to stall had to get rpms higher than usual just to get the car to move & not stall. I cleared the code an it drove normal the rest way home so fingers crossed

Just checked the focus st forums where the common issue was a torque expectation value needed to be raised in the tunes. If code pops up again for me I will contact my tuner. Would make sense since problem never occurred before but happens right after upload new tune
