Hello all, I recently purchased some nt03s 18x9.5. I want to fit 265/35s on there but I don't know much about good tires. Can anyone reccomend me a performance / more track oriented tire that wont break the bank? Thank you.

What are you actually looking for?

What is track oriented?
Slicks?
A street legal tire that will hold up to lapping?
A street legal tire that is sticky, doesn't need a lap or two of heat in it to work but will get too hot and greasy if you're lapping at a track(autox tire?)

Or

Do you really mean a tire for spirited drives on the street and isn't actually seeing any serious track time?
If so do you care at all about noise? Harsh ride? Treadwear? Price? Fair weather weekend car or do you need a tire that won't kill you if you get caught in the rain?

Can't go wrong with a PS4S for a summer tire that will also have some fun at the track without being a track tire. There are stickier tires, but none with the longevity of a PS4S.

If you only hit the track once a year, then stick with a good street tire that's got a 20k to 30k mile life. Running something like a Cup2 will just shred the tire on the regular roads and you'll never get to take advantage of its extra grip.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (PS4S) is the best all-around summer tire for everyone. They work well in all summer conditions.

If used as a benchmark, every other performance tire will have pros and cons: there is not one that will be universally better in all aspects, so its a good idea to start here before venturing into specialties.

My personal favorites are the Yokohama ADVAN A052 (generally out of stock) and the Nexen NFERA Sport R, stickier, but they wear a lot faster and are terrible in pouring rain compared to the PS4S. I find the Bridgestone Potenza RE71R also stickier but too soft. It's a great autocross tire for 1-minute stints, and it will work well in damp mornings but they quickly overheat even on the road.

Really depends on it your gonna drive it in the rain. If so then the cups 2’s should be out as well as almost all 200 tw tires.
That being said if you want a sticky cheaper track focused tire then the falcon rt660 is about as good as it gets bang for buck.
If you are gonna daily it and occasionally track it then as stated PS4’s are the cat meow.

I got that swapped out last Oct. got 45k miles out of it.
45K on stocks? Whaaat?! I am approaching needing a new set of tires at a tick over 50K, and that's with running winter tires as well. I'm probably getting about 15-20K tops per set of PSS-family tires.

Rotating those every 3,000-5,000 miles.

A handful of mountain runs, very satisfied with it.

That's really impressive. I rotate mine and all, but I go through tires like nobody's business.
