A guardrail reached out and got me last sunday morning. Car is at my house in repair mode. Body shop next week...Knowing insurance and bank they would want to total it, and that aint happening! I’ll be rolling again by next month ?

Well no, less than half that. My labor per hour can’t be beat. On insurance claim probably! It’s a couple wheels and tires, rear trailing arm and inner tierod to get it rolling. Doors, and rear quarter section from local salvage. Side skirt and some fender liners. My quote from the body shop was under 3k. I’m doing all of the work except the rear quarter and paint. I’m old school, and also become attached to badass rides! My RS was already a rebuilt title car so I think insurance would be f$$kheads. Doing this body work is worth it to save the countless hours I have spent over the last two years making this thing hot! I don’t want to strip it and dont even have alot of the oem stuff left! Beside selling used parts is hit and miss. If it was bone stock? ?

Almost made the list again...
I understand the "why" of someone panicking and stopping even though doing so puts them DIRECTLY in front of you, but DAMN it's just. So. Directly. In. Front. Of. You.

And I hate that the human brain does that along with thinking they could make the light, not see it be red, or not care that it's red, only to panic and stop in such a manner and place that makes all that bad decision making, even worse.

(so glad you're okay, and were quick to react)

I guess we're not going to see @Shimmer's RS here.

It will live!

Apparently they don’t grip as well as the USDM ones do.
Do the USDM front seats have side airbags?
The Euro and Aus Recaro shells dont. I personally think it was a stupid idea to compromise safety for lighter weight and better looking seats. I also think the Recaros in the local FoST are gripper and more comfortable.
