I'm glad to report that this particular car is resurrected & alive now! Will it be deducted from the demolition derby count?

Glad to see it got a second life, but as far as I know, once a car is totaled it should always have a branded title with it, even if there are legal loop holes to clean it. IMO, this thread should retain that record of that car. I just wish every post had the VIN as text so a google search for it could find it better.

I knew the guy who owned that car. Does it still have the paddle shifter?
Nope, Mike reverted it to close-to-the-stock state, only steering wheel flaps remained.
I've seen how did the car look like in the past, and was a bit shocked at first (never heard about such stuff before).

I wonder if depending where that sensor is, that it may automatically "read" hot when it senses no coolant? Or, people at Copart are really this complacent....

From what I've seen in other photos, the latter is more true. That temp gauge is fully erect with the warning notice and the rpms on the cluster shows it was running during the pic.

When you lose coolant and the engine overheats, there are a number of codes that need to be reset in order for the gauge to again read normally. Makes sense as it stops the idiots from driving it again once cooled until looked at by a tech.

I have been watching that one in Denver. Last week a black RS was sold at auction for 4800 with only one bid. Its about 6 k with fees. Been thinking about buying a wrecked RS to make it a dedicated track car.
