I can vouch for going sports cat from OEM. It’s louder than the OEM as it flows more air but wouldn’t think it would be as loud as going catless

sound was perfect untill I ditched oem cat back and put the mountune catback when I had the esslinger crap engine

I only did it at the time because Alex at Stratified told me it was restricting lol. I thought it was odd considering I was on 91oct.

Ryan emailed and we will do a live sesión to finish tuning the 91 oct tune when I return. During the booked time he will be waiting on my logs,to send back and he sends revissions as needed. I just take laptop with me and share wifi from phone.

whp figure I get when I am done with wmi tune. dyno is about 3hr away and at 6000 ft. I'm at 200ish feet.

as long as your tuning is at where you are normally driving....all good.
i'm glad everything is working out good this time.
i can't wait to do a 2.3 build and re-tune.
I know I will get lower reading at that altitude... but don't they always give a corrected reading for sea level?

i'm not sure about that? they may need to provide you with 2 separate tunes...6k ft tune and sea-level tune. it's not an absolute necessity...but at your level build...it would make sense.

with my tuner...i just asked him for an elevation tune while i was at 5500 ft. he adjusted my current tune on file and sent me the revision (no need for data log run at elevation). when i left that area...i simply uploaded the sea-level tune again.

I haven't updated in a while but all is good. The 91 oct tune has been completed a while back and run just under 25psi with the nx2 and 2.5L engine with piper cams and all the bolt ons. it runs flawlessly and smooth in all rev range.

I then had the follow up surgery on the eye that was pending and then we started the wmi tune but since the kit was sitting for so long since I bought it, one of the sensor cables had a glitch, and the filter was clogged so some downtime while parts arrived .

I did a log on WMI tune a week ago and was at 29psi. 🥳 the limit on the sensors are 29psi so I am now waiting on 2 new 4 bar sensors from Omni Power.

we expect around mid 30's PSI with wmi

I am using the aquAmist 1.2+mm jet which is rated at 720cc/min flow

The 4 bar sensors arrived, the wmi tune revission for 4 bar sensors is ready to run BUT

Yesterday as I drove fast on a Mexican public highway I hit a pothole.... today as I was washing the car I found tire damage so now I wait for tire that arrives on Wednesday.

I am considering 18inch wheels

The good thing with the RS is that you do not need to replace all 4 tires if one goes lol. I am considering doing 18 inch wheels as that would give me a more comfortable ride. The 19inch allows get a beating on Mexican rural roads. A small pot hole hit at the correct spot would not damage tire but easily scrape the rim right below tire. Anyway, I drive with 46 PSI all four tires to have them as solid as possible for any impact lol.

The DSC Sport Controller I installed some time ago, definitely did help with ride comfort and i have it set to default. Just plugged it and forgot about it.

91 OCT TUNE
On 91 Oct tune as mentioned earlier it runs great and hits 24.5 PSI at redline. It does not tapper down. I very rarely get a neg correction in city driving too. OAR always -1. knock counts 0-1 city driving. Runs very smooth at low rpm.

I noticed something and got sorted but many probably never notice and that was neg correction in boost but when going faster so i think it relates to more load due to wind force on car or something. I would notice it if i got to 210-220 kmh and maintaining speed and then give more throttle it would blip neg correction. So most depending where they live are not driving in that range. I usually don't but in Mexico it is easy to do it if on a private toll road.

On 91 Oct with 50/50 WMI + 1% nitromethane

On 91 Oct with 50/50 WMI + 1% nitromethane mix and one aquamist Jet I hit 30.3 PSI and am told i need more fuel so i added another jet. More on jets here ---- 806-3XX ---- 0.4 to 1.2mm Atomising jet for 4mm hose (R) My current jet flows around 600 cc/min at 30psi *it is not on the image below.

A good place on jet sizing i found is here Aquamist: How to Calculate Water Injector Jetting - Xtreme Racing Tuning and based on that and my XDI injector flow.... 600cc approx. flow is not enough. Added another jet that would add 540 cc/min to the mix, will do a data log and send away and wait for a tune update

Below image is taking into account 10% for pumping losses through the system, hence why it states compensated. A 1.2mm jet would flow 540cc at 30psi of boost.

What i did find was a loose clamp that is closest to the throttle body. That may explain it? I had removed it the other day to add/weld a bung to the ets hardpipe. Either i did not tighten enough or forgot to tighten it.

Also, cant find the new o2 sensor i had laying around lol!
