Anyone have any experience with OZ Leggera HLT wheels? Or the Hyper GT ones? Thinking about getting a set for track and autocross use!

I actually think I’m going with hyper GT too. Are you running 245 or 255?

There is another OZ option that I had not noticed until recently. However it is a "GT" model so it might be a little on the heavier side (weight TBA). Will come in 18x8 and 19x8.5.

Bought Motegi Racing MR140 wheels for my track setup a while back. Great fit, no issues with clearance.
The wheels are pretty light (under 19lbs) with 8.5J and look great on the smurf imo.
Here's a pic

I want to thank everyone that participated in this thread. I post some on one of the RS Facebook pages, but I'm mostly a stalker on this forum. I've had my RS for about a year and a half, and this has been by far the post I've spent the most time reading. I figured I should finally make my contribution.

The wheels are Forgestar CF5 18x9.5 +44 with Michelin PS4S 265/35/18 tires. In all of these pictures, the car is lowered on Whiteline springs and otherwise 100% stock suspension. The +44 offset means the tires only clear the struts by a few millimeters, but the tires are set as far inside the fender as is possible for a 9.5" wheel. So far, I've not had any rubbing of tires on the struts. One of the rears has kissed the rear fender, but it's so light that I'm not actually 100% sure it's touched. I've not autocrossed or tracked the car with this setup, but I have done some pretty spirited driving on my local back roads.

I wasn't a fan of the center caps that come with the Forgestar wheels, so I made some custom center caps. On one side of the car, I have the RS logo. The other side of the car has my side business's logo.

Best looking FW.. wow
Love the fogs as well! And the stance is just right! Im looking at squeezing some 265/35/18 cup2’s on my 18x9’s this summer
My previous setup was 19x9.5 et42 and 255/35/18 4S. Wasn’t a big fan of the slight stretch

Thanks! The fog lights are available as a bolt on plug and play kit via my Etsy store.

The Whitelines give the perfect ride height. I've got coil overs to install in the next couple weeks, and I'm going to target the same final ride height. Maybe a touch lower on the back. I'll have camber adjustment once the coil-overs are on. If that gives me enough clearance, I'll be going to a 275 wide tire next time to better fit the 9.5 wheel.

So im in need of help for my next setup..
I have a set of 18x9 +40 wheels ready to mount tires. Im looking at either going with a 255/35/18 or 265/35/18.
My concern is the KW V3 strut. Is anyone able to confirm if this will fit? I see fbaltona runs nt03’s (18x9.5 et38/40?) and 265/35/18 on kw’s, and says zero rubbing. I don’t know if this should confirm that my setup will fit, or will the 265/35/18 balloon more on an 18x9 and cause issues..

9+40? On coilovers? Your good. Just get some camber arms. I would suggest 255/35 for the first set to be safe. You'll need at least -2 degree camber or more.

Hi
I run both Enkei NT03 18*9.5/et40 with 265/35 tyres and RPF1's 18*9/et35 with 255/35 tyres. But with rear camber and toe arms. Very little scrubbing on larger bumps. But I could raise it a little to eliminate. But rather not.
From typing in your wheel specs in will they fit web site your specs should be ok. I would just go a 255/35 tyre on a 9 inch rim. Nice and square.

Thanks guys! I was previously on a 19x9.5 et42 with 255/35/18.
KWV3 with GC plates, camber arms, toe arms, end links. -3.0f -2.5r camber. Worked very well.
I wasn’t a fan of the 255/35 on a 9.5” wheel, which I know you (fbaltona) used to run previously as well. I see the 255/35 Yoko’s on your RPF1’s, which look great due to Yoko’s square sidewall.
Hoping a 255/35/18 cup2 will give me a square look as well.
The 265/35/18 from Michelin has a really big tread spec (10.7” I believe)

  1. I forgot to address your specific question. A 9 +40 will have about a fingers space between the rim and spring/spring perch on a coilover. The 9.5" wheels typically go UNDER the spring perch and right up against the strut itself. 9 +40 is probably very close to the ideal wheel spec for this car. IF YOU HAVE ADJUSTABLE CAMBER AND COILOVERS

Do you have issues with the NT03s sitting against the strut like @tedsRS is explaining? Only asking because in about 2 months, I’ll be on NT03s with 265/35 nittos and KW clubsports which have adjustable camber plates already. I just need rear camber/toe arms. I assume it’ll all be easier with a 255/35 tire...

You'll have to let us know lol. I keep meaning to measure with a feeler gauge to see if I could fit nt03s. It'd be really close. (To the spring)
