I wanted to start this thread so people can talk about what they have done in the area before or after their time at the RSAA, review the hotels & food & etc, and just talk about aspects of their trips other than what was done at the RSAA. I know a good amount of people have stayed at the recommended hotel and checked out the Bonneville Brewery. I also spoke to anther member that went to Park City. Pictures of things are always welcome.

Please share, I will do the same when I return from my trip.

Thanks everyone!

I spent a week there.

Went into downtown Utah. Worth the visit. Lots of places to eat and quite the historic main drag you can check out.

Bonneville Salt Flats. This was cool to see but its not very exciting. Took the rental car on the flats. Its a long drive to see a dry lake bed lol.
I then went into Nevada. There are some cool Casino's right on the border. They also have a liquor store the size of a department store.

Park City. This was really cool for me. There's an Olympic museum you can get in for free and then just a few miles away is the old Olympic village that includes all the bars, shops and places to eat.

Snowbird. The coolest thing I did. You can take a tram up to the highest point in Utah. Dress warm as it was 75 on the ground and ass cold at the summit.
If you want to see some scenery this is a must take trip.

Here's a few of the 500 pics I took :D

Cool idea. Was wondering about things to do myself as I'll be there from June 12 - 15th with my fiance. Shes not really into cars so not sure if she will be going to the Adrenaline Academy or not yet. Gonna think about it as I believe I gotta pay the extra upfront. I Will be hanging at the Bonneville brewery for sure as I like beer (if the beer is good). Think I only booked the suggested hotel for 2 nights and will be looking to go some place on Thur for a night. Before Utah gonna go visit a buddy in San Fran for a couple days. We are making it a little trip for the week.

The brewery was weak, beer was ok but nothing to see if you have seen a brewery before.

Go drive up to snowbird, take the tram if you want. There is a mountain pass road from there that goes to park city. Park City was cool to walk around and check out stuff.

I went on a hike up to some waterfall, that was cool as well.

All draft beer is very low alcohol so get a bottle.

I'm married wtih kids, I really enjoyed time with my wife away from the kids.

Thanks for this post! I just checked into the hotel. Was spending a bit of time getting my helmet & camera ready while googling things to do around here, then I saw this post :)

I went and dropped by Rally Sport Direct before they moved to Draper. Was lucky enough to make it over to Park City (awesome canyon pass driving) and the Hoonigan HQs for my FoST and FiST trips, unfortunately it's not open to the public. Did the trip to Bonneville a few times where I saw it dry, a little wet, and then as the 2nd Salt Lake. Was tempted to head over to Area 52 but decided against it. Headed over to the Nevada border to West Wendover to see Wendover Will and the Casinos. Had over little social at the Bonneville Brewery in Tooele, nice meet up and get together place.

You're welcome! Nobody has reviewed the hotel yet. What do you think of it so far?

The hotel seems OK. It is according to the maps about 12 mins from the track. Make sure you tell them you’re attending the school, there’s a gift bag in it for you (I won’t mention what’s in it, it will ruin the surprise, heh).

The room seems clean; a typical Comfort Inn. Here’s a few shots.

I have to assume they would rent out helmets for people, but do they prefer if you bring your own? I hadn't put much thought into it. It'd just be an extra thing to carry with me on the plane when I go down next week.

That's what I figured. I'd love to bring mine with, but it'd be a hassle to carry it around on the plane etc with me. Thanks :)
From my understanding, you can bring your own. But like you said, it's something extra on the flight. They also give you a souvenir brake caliper and some goodies. This is just stuff I've read.

The recommended hotel is fine. Close to track and clean. I drove from MN last Sept and it was a great time. If you have a couple extra days a trip to Moab and renting a 4 wheeler for some offroad time is fantastic. You have two National Parks near Moab that are great to see, Arches and Canyonlands. Salt Flats is something to see but not sure it is worth the trip for only that. If you want to get to Nevada than probably worth it.

Zion national park is a 4 hour drive. I don't have the time to spare but that's what I'd be doing after my trip outside of just checking out downtown Utah. I'm going for the June 4th & 5th days. Great thread idea... I'll have to check out Snowbird it sounds!
