** Please excuse and move thread if not in correct category **

I am wondering if it is possible to change the size attributes for an attachment when posting, basically resize an image attachment in BBcode?

So right now when you add/upload an image to a thread (example):

13932942_10209526572194055_4881786852002923188_n.jpg

It does its thing on the back-end and throws in the following BBcode for it:

Code:
[PLAIN][ATTACH=CONFIG]49209._xfImport[/ATTACH][/PLAIN]
The BBcode guide for the attachment tag doesn't have much information:
Attachment
The [/PLAIN]

[tr]
[td]Example Usage [/td]
[td][attach]12345[/attach][/td]
[/tr]
[tr]
[td]Example Output[/td]
[td][/td]
[/tr]
[/td]
[/tr]
[/table]
I do not like that it keeps the (sometimes monster) original size of the image. I am wondering if there are any options that can be set there so I can choose to make my image 640x480 or 800x600 in the post??

hey there,

I think its all kind of default to keep everything consistent on the boards all around. we can look into this, just would need more community opinion on the topic. then we need to check with the moderators to see if its an a-ok kind of thing.

I've used that feature pretty frequently elsewhere. Most people won't care or know and could keep the default behavior, but adding in options to set sizing, even if it's the unitless "small," "medium," and "large" descriptors, could help a lot in certain situations. I have noticed that the default "keep images as big as possible" behavior can do some weird things to this website when viewed on mobile.
