With a very heavy heart I am getting rid of my allocation of a Nitrous RS with Forged Wheels.
Circumstances, were out of my control thanks to a number of things, of which none were my decision. My wife unfortunately saw the channel 7 news media beat up about the car, and went absolutely nuts, something to do with the danger the car imposed to the outside world was her reply.
Also the fact that FA told me that I was to get the car built in September and I could not wait that long due to my current car predicament, so I had to purchase another with the agreement of my wife ( you'll laugh when you read further ). I was originally quoted June delivery (Dealer), then July, then on arrival of my NSC it was September build, then now its built and ready to ship to Australia.

On the positive side, and there is a positive side. My wife gave the go-ahead to buy a RS3, which for the uneducated its more of a terror weapon in some ways than a Focus RS (irony). It works out well as we have a Q7 with our local dealer and he gave me a price of which I would be silly to refuse and I have all the bells and whistles with it with a 5 year warranty, corporate deal and 3 RS track days a year, as well as watching the Champions cup every year. This is something Ford could and would never do, and Im happy to pay a extra 25k for this, so don't bag me. Service was pretty much a large percentage of the deal, and the dealer has the best service for Audi in the country and you can see why. the dealer principal is a mechanic.

As I said the car is Nitrous Blue with the optioned wheels, Its built as per ETIS and would probably be here late August early September, don't quote me. I would like to transfer it to someone that has been waiting since last year, but its probably not the right colour scheme, actually I would love to transfer this to Ekliptix as I think I would be suicidal if i hadn't received any notification of my car by now, but if this doesnt happen I will take my deposit and let the 'awesome' dealer pass it onto the next buyer, no doubt with ADM.

Just PM me if your interested, Im in no hurry.

Heres a couple of photos for people that cant read Australasian.

Hi mate, sorry to hear that you had to bail on the RS. Decisions, decisions and obviously you've made the right one based on your current circumstances. Cheers

Yes it took the wind out of me and I was pissed with the media [email protected] about how it should be banned. Bad timing as my wife never watches channel 7.
My wife after she made the call, she at least gave me a option to get a car I like. She had done some ground work with the dealer, so she must have felt guilty which is pretty cool.

I still want to drive one.

Sorry to hear mate, but thanks very much for thinking of me. Unfornately I'm in Sydney (not a deal breaker), but have a FW on order - although the NB was a close second choice for me.

I still haven't heard anything but am continuing to wait - bonus for me will be Sync 3 I would assume at this stage. My dealer said I'm next to receive one at their dealership but they don't know when yet (I can't tell if they are just telling me what they think I want to hear). /sigh

In any case, I don't know if you have driven the RS3 yet, but I drove my brother in law's brand new one last weekend and it was epic! It's amazingly quick, but for me the sound of it is just intoxicating! If I wasn't such a diehard manual lover then I'd buy one in a heart beat! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

No Probs mate, knew you had a FW ordered, just thought you might want some colour in your life.
I have driven the RS3, and its damn quick, sounds great and starts up like a beast as well.
I fell over when I found out they had built the Focus,I thought it was a pisstake, but anyway hang in there, Even FA were shocked it went from September to July build.

I must be honest if I was willing to spend the extra money I would have gone RS3. My biggest gripe with the RS is the fact that it really lacks the noise of the old 5pot that I'm coming from in the Mk3. The RS3 is also way better in terms of quality. Think you should give the missus a squeeze and say thanks
