BTW... if anyone cares it has been on the site for $74.99 and still was as of last night. When I went to order this morning the price was increased $25.00 to $99.99! I contacted them to find out if it was a mistake and they stated they increased the price because they were almost sold out and it's a limited item. Puts a bad taste in my mouth and seems like price gouging. Yea...it's a free market and they can do as they wish but still not a great business practice.

I guess you would probably be able to re-sell it at the same price.

That is weak. As if us FoRS owners aren't already sensitive enough to that BS.

Just for that, I just ordered the knob from cobbtuning.com.

List price: $70, free ground shipping. How's that for free market, CJPP? :devilish:

Maybe...Maybe not. Doesn't matter it's the principal of the thing. They were happy to sell the knob at $74.99 now all of a sudden they charge $99.99 for it. Greed...in my book and poor business practice. It's was in my cart this morning and after I added a few more items and went to check out the price went up $25.00 on the knob! I hit them up on chat and was told they increased the price because they only had a few left and it was a limited item. Even though I had it in my cart at the original price they weren't will to do anything. It was limited and they knew that before they even added it to the site at $74.99. BTW...They are not even shipping yet and marked as delayed delivery.

Also I doubt how limited they actually are. There is a Euro site selling them too and claiming the same 230 limit. BTW...their price converted from euros to dollars was about $61.00 with $20.00 to ship to the US. Still $20 cheaper than CJ's new price.

Anyway CJ's loss I just placed an order for around $2,000 and was going to use them but went with someone else. I'm sure they would have made more than an extra $25 off of me on that order. I know this may sound trivial and for the most part it is but as a business owner who believes in making the customer happy (99%) of the time and ethical practices I find these type of things disheartening. Maybe I should try this tactic with my customers. Valued customer: I know I told you $125 an hour but that was before I got busy today. My time is limited and I only have a few hours left in my day so I am going to charge you $150 an hour! I'm sure that would go over great with them...lol.

Exactly.. ADM on Cobb shift knobs! How many on here are very vocal and freak about dealer ADM on the car. While it's supposed to be a limited run, numbered and is free market so nothing wrong with charging more than the standard MSRP of $70 for the white and black ones. However to just jack up the price $25.00 is taking advantage in my book. I would have been ok with it if the 74.99 was a sale price and the sale ended, there was a price increase on Cobb's end and they had to bump it or they just started out with a price of $99.99 to begin with.

Agreed, jacking the price is wrong, they should have taken the limitedness of it into consideration on the original price

thanks for the link, I searched COBB's site earlier today and didn't see it, I will update the First Post with the COBB page as its cheaper.

I thought the NB COBB was unique to CJPony, the fact that they are NOT and CJPony still jacked the price 30 bucks is even more ****ty

Looks like the Cobb website lists that the 230 number is global production. This makes it super rare for all of the RS owners.

according to the Page they are Nitrous Blue with a limited run of 230 Worldwide

i originally had a COBB Knob on my ST and it was awesome, only reason i got rid of it was because i got a FRPP Shifter and COBB's won't work with them

Not really a fan of it. It's juts a blue version of their standard shift knob with numbers etched on the base. For $100 I'd opt for a unit from WC Lathewerks which is truly custom.
