Damn I wish folks in the US would have been able to purchase the Yaris GR!

472HP at the front wheels on a hub dyno. Only a 1.6L with just THREE cylinders!
Mods include turbo/manifold/wastegate/exhaust/boost controller/intercooler/MOTEC/surge tank/pump/injectors/E85/etc.

Watch their other Yaris GR YouTube videos. Fastest quarter mile time is [email protected]

This is how you start a legend! Ford showed the way in 1990 when marketing a 330hp engine as 201hp in the original Sierra Cosworth. All it took was a fuel pump, a MAP sensor, and four injectors (plus an updated calibration, of course) to get the power back, all parts more or less being available from Ford through their rally and touring programs. This created a huge aftermarket, supercar-beating performance, etc., etc. The engine had a forged steel crankshaft, 7500rpm-capable rods, forged Mahle pistons, a 16V Cosworth head, and a grossly oversized turbo. With some ARP head studs and a Gr. A head gasket, even bigger injectors, and some bolts-on (large IC, 3" exhaust), 550hp was in reach without opening the bottom. It looks like Toyota may have followed a similar route here?

All that with Toyota reliability too. What a firecracker.

These cars are pretty much modern homologation specials. They may have the pedestrian Yaris name, but the whole chassis is spec'd to match the WRC cars.

Yeah, Ford did the same with their RS200 for Group B WRC back in the day.
