Went in wanting to reserve one and the 'RS specialist" said that they will be selling 10k over ticket. He said some places are even selling 15k over ticket. So crazy. Im going to have to do a bit of shopping around.

I think if people were on here a year before the vehicle was even scheduled to be produced they could get away without paying mark up haha. I'm sure in 2-3 months time that'll change greatly.

I happened to be driving by Fremont Ford (in CA) just now, and stopped by to see what they had to say.

They told me they have two unclaimed allocations (sort of).

By that I mean that the dealer has already ordered them with the dealer's choice of options (they said one is Blue, and I didn't inquire further).

Their ADM = $3k.

Apparently they ordered them as Dealer Stock (with no customer associated with the order), as they said they expect to receive them in April/May.

They said that they have sold their three other allocations already. I didn't press them for details, sorry.

Are dealers typically willing to re-configure submitted Dealer Stock orders that they already have DORA's for?

I think as long as they aren't scheduled, they can do it. That's how I got my allocation (made changes to dealer stock order to match my desired build).

I'd say 90% of people got away without paying adm.
90% of the 100 people on this forum that shared what they paid. People are paying markups, they just aren't running here to brag about it. That said, be patient and you'll find the right price

Im not seeing favorable purchasing conditions for those whom have waited so long to secure one of these cars, especially now with the fever pitch of media and if they release a super rs I can only imagine it will be even more difficult to find an unspoken car. Best of luck to your search for an RS.

The first dealer I went to told me they were going to be charging a $15K dealer markup. The second dealer told me $7.5k and then i went back to the first dealer and they offered me one at $7K to beat the second dealers price. The third dealer told me they would sell me one at MSRP. I placed my order that day.

Truth of the matter is, SVT is right. MSRP people are going to tell folks they got it at MSRP. ADM people are not going to brag about how much over MSRP they paid. As for MSRP, I believe this to be RARE! If you were skilled and didn't come off as hard charging and found a lack of product knowledge dealer, you might have pulled this off in the beginning. Dealers are not stupid. The second guy that came in the door, did not get away with it in MOST cases. Yes, there are a really, really small handful of dealers that have strong convictions about how to treat there customer base and do not allow the lines of ethics to be crossed. But again this is a business that lives and dies on the economy. And up until recently, profit potential opportunities were rare. I don't completely blame dealers for getting ADM's but the amount of ADM can get absurd. I myself paid 1000.00 ADM. It was worth it to me as to secure my car right then and there. And to be the first to get one in my area. The second and third person in line has no idea when they are getting theres. It could be in the fall of 2016 in some cases. 1000 bucks was worth it in every way to me.
The days following that deal I made, I was more and more happy that I paid that extra . Reading the mass confusion and scams that were going on for weeks after the Oct.01 was painful to read. I have been waiting since 2004 when Ford implied the car was come to the states for this. 1000 bucks is nothing when sized up against that. It is all perspective, I just read in the paper that people are paying up to $10,000.00 for tickets to the new star was movie first showing. Really!!! I can wait two or three days and walk right in for $9.00 but 12 years for a RS stateside.... whats 1000 dollars against that.

I had no issues getting in at MSRP.

Location is key. If you're in a crazy market, don't expect to pay MSRP

I work for a supplier went to the dealer we purchase all of our Ford vehicles and parts from. I wore my badge and used my work email for all communication, so maybe I got lucky. I did hear that they were selling them all for MSRP, so I doubt it.

Just make some phone calls, you may strike gold!

And we know that for sure because ? ... They said MSRP on an anonymous poll

YMMV,

MidCow3
I don't know that for sure. I guess all I was trying to say was the poll and threads indicate a good number of folks getting allocated cars at MSRP. But when I reached out to the dealerships around my area, they all want ADM. So I realize there is a gap in reported information.

I had 3 dealers willing to do MSRP and I was on their "list" They said they will call me when they found out allocation. The first one to call me back got my $$$$. I'm sure there are still RS's out there at MSRP now that deposits have been made.

The real test about ADM is going to be when the car actually arrives to dealers. As of right now nobody has actually PAID anything. My dealer keeps saying 4k ADM but I won't be paying that when the car comes. At most, they can take my $500 deposit as an ADM but that's all I'll let them take.

I got MSRP because a friend ordered it for me. I guess that's what happens when I send my entire family to him to purchase cars. >_>
