Still sticking with my answer. I can't do 2-seats and while I could make a coupe happen, I'd rather not.

There's nothing under $60,000 which would be a big enough step in any direction to justify leaving my RS. I am also not interested in another 4-cylinder.

I want a manual transmission. I don't like Cadillac. I want more than 4 cylinders. I want 4-doors. I want something fast. I want something relatively special. And I can't afford a Porsche.

Yeah you boiled it down to the essential requirements. In Europe one can still get a SH Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio with the manual gearbox... that would fit the requirements and more , 4 door Ferrari.
By the way here is a "wild" one in Italy :)

I saw one in person for the first time yesterday. I think it looks better in person than in photographs. Guy had a car seat in the rear middle as well. I only wish they made the manual available with AWD. If I lived where it didn’t snow this wouldn’t be an issue.

The Quadrifoglio is a beast. Every bit an M3's better in terms of its performance and handling.

I want one. Aside from the maintenance. Dear LORD, just look up the video on changing the serpentine belt. LMAO its a nightmare!

I could change the belt on my GTA in about 1 minute, including the time it takes to unlock the doors and pop the hood.
Open Drivers Door
Pull hood release
Use 3/8" ratchet to release belt tension
remove belt
install new belt.
remove 3/8" to restore belt tension.
DONE.

I was seriously considering the Quad. Saw one at the auto show when they first came out and fell in love. The reliability is a significant problem though. I couldn’t stomach spending $70K + and not be able to rely on the car every day. I hoped they were going to work out the issues over the years and would occasionally scan the forums but the problems just don’t seem to go away even with the newer model years. It’s a shame, it is a beautiful car.
