How much life was left in this clutch?
I guess you can skip the dye penetrant test.
Plenty of life left, just add rope and use it as a boat anchor...

End of life friction /heat
So how many miles of use did it have?...
There has to be a story behind this...
Cover and pressure plate all one unit
The part with all the visible damage and about to grenade itself is the pressure plate. The part resting on the guys hand and table is the cover plate and visible in the centre are the diaphragm spring "fingers"

Holy.... how many miles were you at?
Are we seriously bitching on part names? I call that the clutch mechanism. It comprises the cover, the diaphragm, and the pressure plate(s)
