I’ve been trying to figure out how Black RS’s have been made, but I haven’t seen any online site or anything for total made RS’s either. Anyone got a idea how many are in the US or made?

This comes from one of the Jalopnik writers. He is talking about RSs even though he doesn’t say. 2018 is limited so that should be easy. Problem is there were lots of 16s and 17s that were still unsold at the end of 2017 so this doesn’t give true production numbers...

Somewhere around here there is a thread that shows color distribution. White was the rarest if I remember right...

Actually possible, there are bar code on the roof of each car. I assume each car will be scan and recorded as they finish off the assembly line, PDI remove a lot of this stuff. My car didn't get touch by the dealer at all, so a lot of the stuff are still on it, like the bar code on the roof, oil change sticker from factory, parking lot location on the boat and pier, as well as the infamous shipping block.

I believe what will help most with this number issue is that production numbers are carried by two separate systems within Ford. #'s from Dearborn are easily tracked here in the US but it takes a bit more for this side of the Pond to access the European numbers. Boerni has contacts at various plants, compiles those VINS by date, and accounts for overall numbers. Is this 100% accurate? I dunno but he's provided this service for quite a few years now for many various platform members. Like the old riddle: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Toostie Roll Pop? The world may never know.
