Michigan future RS owners / enthusiasts, I was thinking it might be cool to have a little "pre-meet" before we all get our cars to meet one another and bull**** about what we're going to do to our cars and such. I thought, what better place than a Joe Louis Arena suite watching our Detroit Red Wings? They have them in 20, 30, 40 & 60 people suites. Would anyone be interested in doing this? If so, what day of the week would be best for you?

Sounds like fun but I would not be able to make it with my work and family responsibilities.

Weekdays are pretty much out of the question for me as I work rather early in the mornings, maybe a weekend. How much are tickets? I've honestly never been to a hockey game.

I think that's a great idea but might be a bit difficult scheduling everyone unless it is on a weekend day or something. That being said, I would be down for it.

It depends how many people we get to go. If we have enough between members and possibly family/significant others, a suite would be cool to get. There's all kinds of different packages with suites also, different food options, or no food, or there's even one package that you get to meet a Red Wings player, take pictures and autographs and all. If we don't have enough for a suite, we can always just get tickets in a row or group. I usually find tickets for cheap (about $25-30) for upper bowl, around row 5 or so, which are pretty good seats. It depends on where people want to sit or if we have enough for a suite and what options. Any weekday or weekend works for me. I just need a general count of how many people would be interested in going before I can determine what pricing would be, what day would be best, etc. Also, whenever I go to a hockey game (been to 3 this year already >.<) we park on the roof of a casino and take the people mover to the arena, it drops you off right at the front door of the arena and parking is free. So we could always hangout and casino before/after. And if people are coming from a bit far, there's plenty of hotels in the area. I'm up for the difficulty scheduling everyone :D And tbone - you must experience Joe Louis Arena before they tear it down! This season and next season are the last seasons the Red Wings will be playing there before they open our new arena, District Detroit.

But, everyone seems really nice here and I wasn't sure if it was a stupid idea and I was the only one that thought it would be cool or if there would be anyone even interested in going lol

If there's a game around the time I'll be coming up from Florida to go to NAIAS I'd be in. Going to see a few Toledo Walleye games anyways.

Edit: ok, checked the schedule. Jan 20th would work as I'd goto NAIAS the next day, then Toledo games Fr, Sa and Su nights. Wings are at home on the 23rd also but will be at the Toledo game them. Cheap tickets and cheap beer makes it hard to skip even if it's just ECHL.

I didn't think about the members coming up for NAIAS. It might be difficult for some since it's during the week
