Help With '18 NB RS Purchase Decision

Hey guys just had some questions on this '28 nitrous blue RS I'm interested in. It's visibly in good condition. I'm wondering if any of you can tell if it's been modded at all. I'd prefer an unmodded RS. I know the mudflaps were added. I wasn't able to find any evidence of any other mods (which I know doesn't mean too much). Here are some pics.

Does the exhaust look stock? Are the black front pieces on the bumper stock? I'm going to look around for some pics in the meantime. I'm not sure if that textured look is stock or not. I have an exhaust clip as well but not sure how to post here yet. Thanks!

You might want to contact Jessica on Facebook. She might be on here, but I don’t know her username if she is.

She’s a Ford mechanic and RS owner/specialist. She could probably spot anything off with the car, and possibly provide a check in Ford’s computer system.

The front splitter and fog light bezels are all OEM as well as rear diffuser. Intake and engine bay looks to be all stock from picture. Hard to tell on the exhaust from angle, but look for ford oval on underside of muffler. I remember seeing a large stamped Ford on mine. Best of luck!

A dealer can tell if there’s been a tune on the car based on key turns, or that’s how I’m told they do it.

There is a bit of green coolant? on front intake and engine cover.
Can you lift the engine cover off, and take photo?

Thnx

Honestly I think the earlier cars look better than the 2018, but the addition of the Quiafe is nice. I’m sure you’ll find one eventually. Definitely hold out for Nitrous Blue, it’s the only color to get. (And red is really ugly on the 2018. [emoji2960] )

I agree. I don't like red generally, anyway, especially as an exterior color on a car. I would never get the RR RS. I actually prefer the look of the '18s, versus the earlier years, even though it's minor. I like the black mirrors, roof, and wing. I like the carbon fiber bits in the interior (although they can be added, I understand). Plus there's no worries of headgasket issues, the 18s have the upgraded suspension and so forth. I just really prefer an '18 NB.

And yeah, I'm sure I'll find the '18 NB RS I'm looking for, eventually. Thanks.

I personally don't mind the red and would have bought one if they were trading at a discount to the NB. I do mind the blue stitching and trim pieces on the red car though... Adam Houston bought his RR with the RS logos red'd out and I thought it looked great. Seat stitching is a bit harder to change though.

Anyway, another one will pop up!!

Agreed, if they made all the blue stuff red, it would look good. Red/blue just don’t work together on a car.

The silver winter wheels make it even worse! Like there are too many colors at once on the side of the car! I personnaly think RR with the black forged wheels looks good but I understand not everyone likes it (except for the blue calipers)! Had it had grey or red calipers without blue badges it would look much better.

My GF’s focus se is actually race red with the black appearance option (black mirror caps/spoiler/wheels/headlight housings) and her car looks really good after a good wash/wax! Needs a good dark window tint to accentuate the contrast between red and black to make the red really pop.
