Just logged into ford owner site to see it listed for my car too. It's barely been a month since I took my RS for the 16B43 pcm recall. Sigh.

No recall for me on the ford site. Mine's a 17 built 10/26. I know there was a PCM/BCM recall previously. There are some threads floating around about that update, it got rid of the shift light and added more pops.

My 16' is also now showing this. Would really like to know what it is before I do it. I'm quite happy with the pops and burbles at the lower RPM from the last recall and would like that to remain the same.

Seems to just make the check engine light more sensitive to emission system parameters. Damn you California! *shakes fist*

I was hoping we got the up shift indicator back in normal mode. LOL.

I haven't gone in for any of the updates because I thought some of you that went in for the previous updates said that it went unsuccessfully. Has that changed?

I waited until January to get the recalls done and had no issues. Took them 10 minutes to flash the updates, literally.

A better bit of programming would be to just not allow the throttle to open past the most efficient rpm and just force the driver to shift instead of turning on a light.

If your car is running fine and you like your current set up, I wouldn't bother. My dealer mucked mine up and made false accusations. Once bitten twice shy.

Until I get a MIL or CEL, I'll just file the notice.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I try to keep my dealer visits to a minimum.

I have read that there are states [CA, MA, maybe more] that will not let you renew registration if there are outstanding recalls. Has anyone ever had issues?
