Somewhere along the way my RS's grill bar (whatever it's called---its the wide matte black bar that runs across the grill opening) has gotten a WHOLE BUNCH of pecks in it that are deep enough to show white. NOT polishing those rascals out!

I've no inclination to fill them in, sand, and refinish/paint it-----I just want to cover the white nicks/pecks up so the bar is a uniform matte black again.

Anyone else done this? What did you use? How's it lasted? etc. TY!

I use a black sharpee pen for touchups every spring. Also installed a custom euro front plate to hide most of the damage to that bar.

Checkout your grilles too, those like to rust badly especially the brake duct and intercooler grilles which sit lower and are more exposed 😤

 Thanks for the replies; the black sharpies have it!

I should have thought of that myself. The ST I traded in had black Sparcos for it's summer wheels. One had a light scuff on about 5 inches of rim from a brush with a curb, and I colored it in every spring with you know what.

I liked the bedliner suggestion and the tip about the grills too! TY!

UPDATE: My previous optimism about a Sharpie being the solution to my issue has proven to be 🤮. Not even close in color to the stock dark grey metallic. Looks like it'll have to go old school. sand down, mask off, primer and paint (Dupli Color likely has something that's pretty close to stock). Or, I may go with the nicklulu's solution.
