Did they replace the HPFP fuel tube?

Does it smell all the time or just in certain circumstances?

We're going to need a little more info to help.
stop idling in your garage.
in my subuaru, the only time this happened was when the O2 sensor went.

Stock car?
Sounds like a leak some where. Could be from an oring on the injector near the fuel rail failed or got pinched. Could be a oring in the quick connects failed or is damaged. Could even be from the HPFP leaking, But a consistent fuel smell would indicate a leak.

Have you installed a down pipe recently? Also pull up your rear seats and check in there. They pull up from where the back and the bottom meet
Thanks for your answers. The car is stock. No tuning at all and I wish to keep it that way. I took it to Ford 3 times, they checked everywhere for leaks. Under the seats is dry and no smell. The smell feels like to be on the top part of the cabin always..
If it's an oring, wouldn't it smell as well in the engine bay?

If the HPFP fuel tube comes with the new head gasket kit, that means they changed, if not, they didn't.
The smell is strong when the car has stopped, it gets less when I drive it. It feels even less when I put in sport mode and it does the exhaust pops. But maybe that's just in my imagination..

I don't, and the garage is quite big.

Does this maybe explain the less fuel smell when I accelerate harder and it does the pops?
The smell would waft in. You are certain it's fuel. Not oil?

Would oil smell like fuel?
let your car idle and go smell the exhaust. it will be super obvious if it running really rich due to a bad o2 sensor.
So a while ago I had a fuel smell like gasoline and what it turned out to be was a bolt on the HPFP was loose. Never saw the actual leak but the ford dealership found it and tightened the bolt. Might be a similar issue but I would doubt it if your stock. Mine was probably caused by a loose bolt to begin with and solid motor mounts which probably helped if back out enough to start a tiny leak.

Thanks!
what you are describing seems logical, could it be that they didnt screw the HPFP well after installing the new head gaskets?
anyway tomorrow i take it to ford and ask them to check the O2 sensor and the HPFP.
i keep you posted. i hope it get solved soon as i am worried a lot.

During the head gasket replacement process it also involved replacing the high pressure fuel line/tube as well. This was a mandatory requirement. Would be worth checking to make sure that this was replaced in accordance with guidelines and that everything is tightened to spec.......
Hello Guys,

So i took the car again to Ford today, and i asked them to check the HPFP hose, the O2 sensor and the HPFP screws as you had suggested, but all are fine. no leaks and no smell.

i am not driving the car since, the fuel small is in the back of the car. we had checked the fuel tank and all the tubes and hoses there but no leaks.

i am desperate, everything looks fine but the smell is still there.

any other ideas?
