This high quality shift lever is built for performance without compromising comfort. It installs easily, replacing the OEM shift lever on your Focus RS with no modifications required to the surrounding console and is a full inch shorter. The short throw shifter also retains the full functionality of the reverse lockout. Shifter throws are reduced by 22%. The shift lever can also be used in conjunction with Boomba’s fully adjustable Focus RS short shifter adapter plate, capable of shortening throws by up to 45%.

**Compatible with OEM shift knob, or any shift knob with a thread pitch of M12x1.25 30mm**

The short shifter is designed and manufactured in Boomba's manufacturing facility, right here in the United States and all mounting hardware are included. All shift levers are precision CNC machined out of billet steel for strength and long lasting durability. A definite mod for daily drivers as well as autocross and road racing enthusiast!

Installed mine, along with the shifter base bushings! Takes away the void feeling.. very direct and confident shifts now, and the proper height the shifter ought to be! Very pleased! (Side note.. thank you Ford for putting monstrous clips behind the passenger air bag indicator bezel, I needed the extra practice in interior panel removal... *shakes fist*) Wonderful piece, worth every penny.

This angle should give an idea about shifter height. Bout an inch shorter than stock.

That actually doesn't look too short. How is the shift feel? More effort?

@Soundwave there is more effort, but I wouldn't say it's too much effort at all, just the right amount to make you feel like you're not just tossing a weightless shifter around. Feels solid. I much prefer a slightly heavier shift with precise engagement, and that's what this gives you. The stock setup is smooth, and light, but to me had a very vague feel to it. Like when shifting from 3rd to 4th on the stock stick there wasn't that "Yep, I'm definitely in 4th and couldn't possibly be in 2nd" reassurance. Now there is. Additionally, I tend to rest my elbow on the center console when cruising, and the stock shifter height made my arm cant upwards. Now, it sits level. May be an OCD thing but it's more comfortable to me now, call it ergonomics I guess.
