Since official pricing on the Focus RS hasn't been released yet, lets hear your best guess on what the base price will be!

Thats a tough one, I'm hoping in the 32-34k range, or less of course... Although I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being more.
I hope we are all surprised at how much value we're going to get.
Almost certainly close to the STI, which starts at like $34k - $38k, if I remember correctly. I'm hoping for $32k - $33k base, $36k premium, in USD of course. When it comes to Canada, it had better undercut the STI by a little bit at least.
I'm thinking at least $35,000, however even at that price this sucka delivers a ton of performance.
I'm not all that familiar with trim and option packages that ford offers coming from a subaru so what boxes could be checked to get this things past $35 k?
If the RS comes out in similar trim to the FoST, I would be willing to guess:

ST1 trim about $33K

ST2 trim about $35.5K

ST3 trim about $39K

Speculating, of course. I'm in no position to do anything otherwise.

.

please god, let me be able to buy a base model in stealth gray for 34-35k OTD
I can sit here and speculate, or wish, or all of the above. But no one will know until the prices are out. Ford has show with the FoST and FiST that MSRP's are on the higher side, but you can have them $6k+ under MSRP. So I hope that follows suit and incredible values can be had.
I'm going to take a SWAG at it. (scientific wild ass guess) it'll be 30k haha. Jk. It won't it'll be more. If it was 30k I'd be one of the early adopters. But I'm guessing more along somewhere between 35-40K so I'll probably have to wait and be a second year guy like I was with the ST.

I don't think the deals will be available like everyone has been getting on ST's but I don't think the RS is going to bring the same price tag as its competitors either.

Im guessing (since we'll only get one performance guise) it'll cost AUD $59,490 not including tax and registration etc.
It will be around $35,000, is my best guess.

Don't expect multiple levels of trims. There will probably be a base, for maximum lightness for racing and then there will be an upgraded one with all of the goodies. There won't be enough of these made to justify more trim levels than that I think.

If I were a betting man, I'd say your estimates are pretty darn close!!

EDIT: RS1, RS2, RS3? :)

IIRC I heard the RS will be/was offered in the past with 2 option sets only... At least it was on the MK2 Focus RS

"Spec-wise, Ford offered two option packs. Luxury Pack 1 featured dual-zone climate control, automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring, keyless go, DAB radio and a Sony six-disc CD player. Luxury Pack 2 came on top, replacing the hi-fi with a Ford system including a rear-view camera and touch-screen satnav. Air-con was standard on all versions"

So i'm assuming a barebones stock and a "Luxury Pack" with all of the Recaro's/Nav goodies. I'm assuming its going to be a well optioned base model, with the "luxury" bits saved for that pack. That said... they are offering two tire options which I think will be additional to either one, and recaro buckets might be standard. Just blowing wind but I think:

$35k base
$41k fully optioned out with Cup 2 rubber and all (if that option makes it to the states). I think it has to be high if its limited, but still priced to compete strongly in the market. Honestly, it should be more expensive than an STi as it will warrant it in both performance and interior options. We shall see.

Base price I am guessing at $34,000, bare bones... Tops out at just below $40,000

Just my guess.
If this car gets priced near 40K then I will look at something else AWD, the ST3 heated recaros were great but i wouldn't pay 40K to have them in the top model of a RS unfortunately. still a nice car though...might wait a year to get second hand for better value of input of money lol
its gonna be in the $40s. heck, a decent Mustang 5.0 can get mid-$40s.

with "limited issue" sparking Stealership markups, I'd bet for first 3-4 months of availability in US most will carry a $5k surcharge.

That's a hefty premium over and above a brand new ST at <$39k AUD. Personally I'd guess the low $50's
I think it's very important that none of us show any interest in the RS, and certainly don't start making any pre-orders, or rushing to the dealers when they're first released.

No, we should all play it cool, and then they'll offer steep discounts and rebates.

Really. This will happen.
