Following last week's teaser, Ford has announced plans to introduce the all-new Focus RS at a special event in Cologne, Germany.Set to take place on February 3rd at 13:45 CET, the unveiling will be live-streamed and hosted Ford Europe boss Jim Farley and Ford Group Vice President of Global Product Development Raj Nair. There will also be a handful other executives and "very special guests" who will reveal details about the high-anticipated model.

Ford didn't have much to say about the car itself but it is expected to feature a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that produces between 325-350 bhp (242-261 kW). It will reportedly be connected to a six-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

BRENTWOOD, Essex, 29 January 2015 – The all-new Ford Focus RS will be previewed at a special presentation in Cologne, Germany, at 12:45 on 3 February. The preview takes place at a unique venue in Ford’s European headquarters, where the RS badge first debuted 48 years ago.

In addition to showcasing the third generation of Ford’s Focus RS performance hatchback, the event will also highlight the innovation and technological advances which have become a hallmark of the RS over the years.


Hosting the event will be Jim Farley, executive vice president, and president Europe, Middle East and Africa; Raj Nair, group vice president, Global Product Development; and Ford of Europe’s Joe Bakaj, vice president, Product Development. They will be joined by some very special guests to talk more about the 30th vehicle to sport the iconic RS badge.
