I finalized my order yesterday. This being first generation car with fairly new engine and with new drivetrain, I decided to opt in for ESP and FMPP.

Did anybody buy these things? What was your price on them?
I paid
ESP 6y/120K about $2K
FMPP 6y/120K about $2.8K.

Nope didn't add any of that. I plan on using mine to develop aftermarket parts so I might void warranty by taking the car apart.

I'm surprised they've already got pricing on the RS for plans.

That's part of the reason I've signed up for them now. If Ford decide to increase the price next year they will still honour the price.

I ordered at MSRP at a dealership that provides 10yr/100k ESP and 2 yr. maintenance with every new car. The maintenance package is only good at their dealer, but the extended warranty is nationwide.

So what's the difference with these two? What is not covered? Lot of $ upfront.

That's because you're in south of the border.
We pay heck of lot more than you guys do for the ESP and the prepaid maintenance.

ESP = Ford's Extended Service Plan. Basically, it's their extended warranty.
FMPP = Ford Maintenance Prepaid Package.

More information is available on their website in detail.

Hello garu, not sure which one of these has the wheel replacement package, but I can tell you that one's definitely worth it. Didn't have it on my f80 M3 and I wish I did when I got some pretty bad curb rash on them.

I don't think wheel replacement package is offered in Canada. :(

Q: When can I purchase a Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan?
Plans must be purchased within the time and mileage of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (the earlier of 3 years or 36,000 miles for Ford vehicles and 4 years or 50,000 miles for Lincoln vehicles).

So it sounds like you can wait a bit to purchase or not.
