My father recently passed away. Today my mother and I were going through his jewelry box.

In the box was this Ford coin. My great grandfather sold cars back in the 20’s 30’s and 40’s. I’m sure it was his.

I thought it was cool and wanted the share my pictures of it. I hope you all can see it.

That is absolutely amazing. My condolences for your Father's passing. Definitely keep that in the family, it's a beautiful heirloom. Wonderful piece of Ford and Family history.

I'd be torn between keeping the tarnish (for sentimental value) and cleaning it up.

My condolences for your loss.

I really wouldn’t clean it.
Cleaning, in some cases, will devaluate it. If cleaning won’t hurt it’s value, the type of cleaning may.
Maybe haunt a collectible (which I’m sure this is) token forum. I know they’ll be a thread on that.

Sorry to hear about your Dad! Nice find on the coin; thanks for sharing it!

What Jim said on the coin cleaning. If you ever do decide to sell it; I'm sure collectors will want it in original condition; cleaning it would almost certainly devalue it significantly.
