Interesting. Not sure I knew of STM until today.

Yeah. I’ve always had good luck with them when I had a talon tsi AWD. They usually push the limits on stock blocks so I was hoping we would find out what the RS could handle. I haven’t been there to talk to anyone since they got their RS. It looks like they might have moved on to some other projects, since it’s been over a year without any updates to their RS. They were always active on the DSM & evolution forums, so I was hoping to see a build on here from them.

Anyone else notice how the 91 ethanol free stations all seem to have switched to 90 octane within a couple weeks?

So that begs the question- Do any of you know of a place within ~30 miles of Rochester where 91 ethanol free is still sold? Everything I checked for Fastrac and the indies on the East side of Roch are now 90.

I’m likely picking up a Race Red RS next week. I’m in the Buffalo area. I’ve see a few RS’s locally. On FW on Transit Rd in Lancaster, one NB on Seneca St in South Buffalo, and a SB also on Seneca St in South Buffalo. Just wondering how many are near me.

Ethanol free?!? Been a LONG time since I've seen anything higher than 91 without the sh111y corn base added. 93 with 10% ethanol is essentially the norm around Rochester.

Quick opportunity for any of you Rochester RS owners. I've sold my car and have some performance goodies that I no longer need. Basically the W400 package from Tune +, and the additional hot side hard pipes. So this whole box of goodies includes: Cobb Accessport (unmarried and ready to go), ETS intercooler (anodized black with no logo on it), ETS intercooler pipes and hardware for both sides (also black), TurboSmart waste gate controller, and an unused drop in air filter. Chance for one you locals to grab some quality parts (used for less than 1K miles). I paid quite a bit for everything, but I'd love to just get a few bucks back on things that I'm not using. Local pick up only for $800. Call it my way of saying thanks to the community.

Welcome! I know of a at least 3-4 FoRS in the Buffalo area from seeing those folks at cars n coffee or SCCA autocross events. Let us know if keeping you in the loop on either would be helpful.

Yup, I'm usually in for some Cars and Coffee. I keep meaning to get out to an autocross, but something always seems to come up. I'm like 5 minutes from New Era as well, so I don't have much of an excuse when they are there.
Has anyone in the area gone up to TMP to do lapping sessions, those seem like they could be fun as well.

Have not heard of RS owners going to TMP, but several of us have done GVC BMW club events at Watkins Glen. (I went last year at 1200 miles - and two additional times - with a totally OEM setup and had a blast).

Great ways to enjoy our cars!

I've taken my RS to Toronto Motorsports Park, and it was a great time. I was the only RS there, and the amount of attention the car got surprised me.

I don't know any other RS owners in the area, but would definitely be down for a getting a group together and heading up there for open lapping.
