So how much is the Focus RS going to weigh?

I currently own a Fiesta ST which is about 500 lbs. lighter than a Focus ST and about 700 lbs. lighter than a WRX.

Sure, it doesn't have as much horsepower as either of those cars, but the light weight makes it delightful.

All-wheel-drive is obviously going to add a lot of weight to the Focus RS. I want to know how much it is going to weigh. If they can keep the weight down compared to the competition, that will really help it. How much is it going to weigh?

3200-3300 pounds would be great and beat out the evo and STI!

I'm gonna guess itlll be 3400-3500 considering the st is just over 3200.

I noticed with the top model escape in FWD vs AWD is approximately 175lbs from what I found and for the Fusion it's about 200 - 250lbs difference, approximately, so if a FoST is around 3223lbs approx and going with the higher amount of increase of 250lbs, we would be looking at around 3473lbs but of course I'm just throwing around numbers and hope it comes in under those numbers...

I think Europe is going to get the better car, they will be able to get the shell seat and save prolly 50-70lbs. I found an article listing a weight of 42 for the ptu,

I'm hoping for under 3500, but as long as it isn't over 3600 I will be happy. I'm not sure of the engine weight differences, but many things are beefier and that adds weight. We just need more details of what the RS has. Under 3500 is a really safe bet I would say though.

My vote is for 3400-3500lbs as well.

Surprisingly, the 2015 Golf R's curb weight is 3,340lbs. I guess the new MBQ platform really pays off.

I'm hoping it comes below the EcoBoost Mustang which is a bit over 3,500. Around 200lbs less and I'll be doing flips.
I'll be doing flips with you.
