Great post, good show of time spent to help others! I wanted to comment on a few of those:

- While the Levels seems like a solid value, people need to be aware that the way he runs his business is POOR.

Another RS buddy of mine paid for his intercooler back in early August, and here we are now in May and he is out his money and has no FMIC. Nick, or whatever he goes by, completely ignored any attempt to communicate for a 4-5 month stretch, finally responded a month ago telling him he'd refund his money, but has now gone dark again and my friend still doesn't have his $$ back or product.

This isn't the only story like this, Facebook is littered with them in various Focus groups... Maybe other people's experience with him was positive, but for some, it's the worst service you could possibly get. *Edit: here are 4 similar complaints of lack of service, response, or delivery of goods: https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/sorrento/profile/car-racing-equipment/levels-performance-llc-0733-90258136/complaints *

- To anyone shopping for FMICs, be aware. you are not guaranteed that one brand intercooler works with another brand intercooler pipes. My personal experience is that the stock piping *barely* works with the Mishimoto (very very tight fit hose -> inlet, so tight it had trouble keeping the connection), the Depo Racing pipes do not fit at all (in his defense, he does say "fits most aftermarket FMICs" on his site). I ended up having to spend $500 on the Mishimoto pipes, which clashed with other upgraded parts, mainly my ADF undertray

Bought the Mishy unit and charge pipes - fitted up perfectly and happy with performance. I would take a bunch off that list tho; the ETS one at the top of the list.

I will be picking one soon. Finally may take the plunge. Lol.
I’ve been a critic of the intercooler in the past cause meth just works better. But you can run out of meth on longer trips so as I’m now running flex fuel I’ll be lowering my meth charge and spraying it less this may be a nice compliment to the system now.

Are you saying ETS is the best intercooler or one you would stay away from?

I spent $899 for mountune intercooler and all the charge pipes. Buying as a package is the only way to go and makes it one if the most affordable options.

I got mine for the ST before his store went completely to ****. It took two to three weeks even back then but at least he was a bit responsive. It was a pretty good intercooler, but there is no way I'd go back now knowing how bad the delays are these days.

It's kind of a shame about some of these small shops. I like to try and support them but it seems they all seem to fall into the trap of getting too big too fast and burn themselves out while burning their customers.

Did you get it on black Friday or during some other deal? If I were to grab a new intercooler, I'd grab the pipes as well just to make sure it all works together.

Wow, I see it's $1,299 now! The package was $999 and I used their 10% off discount. Can't believe it went up that much.

Bought the Mountune package on sale for 899 as well. It fits great and the piping is spot on. The only thing I had to do was lower the rad support a few inches to get it to rotate in. Would definitely recommend.

I bought the mountune intercooler when it was on sale before they bump the price up, works great with OEM pipes

It took me forever to get it to fit in. Eventually got it... Somehow!

That is what I'm running with no issues. I even have one of the earliest ADF trays that came with rear mounts that were longer than necessary and was still able to shorten those. ADF then started delivering trays with the shorter mounts.

Apologies for the necro but this thread helped me a lot to do my research on which IC to pick up.

Mountune USA:
  • The Mountune package is now $1,548.
  • The IC alone is $999, on sale up to now for $799, and use a discount code to knock off $119.85 ( don't know how long the sale and the code is good for)
  • The charge pipe upgrade kit is $549.
  • The boost hose kit is $315.
  • The hard pipe is $259.
Mountune UK:

@phillofoc has a great find and found the hard pipe (newer version there) for a fraction of the US version:

I ended up picking up the FMIC from Mountune US:

342824

The hard pipe from the Mountune UK site:

342825

And the boost hose kit at and Authorized Mountune reseller:
342826

$1,023.8 (before tax and shipping) is the cheapest route I found and took.

Thank you for the OP for all the info listed, prices specs were really helpful.

The Mountune FMIC is " 5' " thick.

Man, that's a great price on the IC. I don't think they intended the coupon to apply to the already discounted price...oops!

Too bad the forum can't parse Google sheet links. It would be super easy to create a parts list by type, vendor, manufacturer..etc that everyone could easily access and can easily resort by their preferred method.

I am not too sure, I loaded the cart with the Drift Stick and the boost clamps and the coupon code did not work for those.

The Coupon code only applies to certain merchandise.

I ended removing the DS from my cart and kept the boost hose clamps. 😥

Does anyone know if any of these units are the same weight or lighter than the stock unit? I'm starting to look at power mods, but am hesitant to add yet more weight to the front end of this car.
