So i put an order in with a dealership near me on the first day the order banks opened. I was assured i would be getting a car since i placed the order so early.I also gave them a $500 deposit refundable of course. Months go by and i find this forum with good information on it and i am reading about the allocations and how the orders are getting filled. My dealership seemed to know nothing about this process so i figured they didn't have an allocation.I called and asked them to talk to the ford sales rep and figure out if i am going to get a car since they didn't have an allocation. I also mentioned to them how such and such dealers had an allocation and i was looking there. They then proceeded to tell me oh they have an allocation and it was sold to me. This all happened while they were waiting to hear from the rep. I got a call last night saying i wont be getting a car. Apparently they involved someone above the sales rep and was told that since the dealer ship doesn't have an allocation i wont get a car. So to all the people who have orders in with dealerships with no allocations i wouldn't expect a car. Really pissed that this happened since it is so late in the game and i probably wont find an allocation around me at less than 5k ADM.:sorrow:

velde ford in pekin il
I had a bad experience with mine too in IL. They did have one allocation, and I had been told for 6 months by the sales guy that I was number 1 on the list. Then turned out the sales manager had a different list and I was actually number 3 on his list. So no chance! Ended up finding one in TX instead.

Yea i remember reading that post you made not to long ago about your experience. Plan on calling around the area here seeing what dealerships have what. I have been told by springfield dealership they are getting an allocation but that dealership is weird they had a station where you can get the rs in different colors and add like decals and all kinds of crap. What is weird is they said they are getting an allocation but they don't know what it is. They are a pretty big dealership but i thought they could make the allocation anything they wanted so i am kinda fearful of even dealing with them.

Suburban Ford in Sterling Heights MI had 3 allocations at MSRP left on Friday. I'd call and leave a voicemail to the GM for Monday morning.
Suburban sold their last allocation at 6:00 last night apparently.

I wouldn't trust anything Landmark Ford says. I am from Springfield and lived there for nearly 30 years and never heard much nice about them.

Sorry to hear about your saga. A similar thing happened to me, so it's not uncommon. For me, it changed everything from "Trust, but verify" to "Verify everything before any trust". Sad, but true.

I hope you find something for a good price. They are still out there to be found to the diligent person willing to travel.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I was in exactly the same situation. My dealer put my order in on Oct. 13th after the troubles with the order bank on the 12th. Came to find out later they didn't have any allocations. They were never told specifically they weren't receiving any allocations. They knew how disappointed and upset I was, initially even referring me to another local dealer who did have allocations. But on Nov. 23rd they were able to secure two allocations from their regional Ford rep and there have been a number of stories on these forums about other dealers securing additional allocations for verified retail orders.

I would see if your dealer can contact their Ford rep to see if they can get you an allocation (unless you just don't want to deal with them anymore).

And on the non-allocated orders that have been mentioned as moving to Selected for Scheduling - I would bet that those orders were actually put on allocations before this happened and the customers were not told this. Of course we have no way to verify this as most of the dealers are idiots and we can't talk directly to the Ford reps.

I can confirm that my dealer did NOT have an allocation at the time I placed my retail order (Jan),(per the inventory manager and his discussions with regional) but my order has been selected for scheduling. However, I was very persistent and asked them to lobby for allocation each time the rep came by. Whether that helped or not I don't know.

The only reason i was even told i wasn't getting a car is because i pressed them to talk to the sales rep. It doesn't sound like he is willing to do anything for me. I still have my order in with them "just in case..." was only a $500 deposit so them sitting on it doesn't bother me.

Thanks for the info! They did seem out there as far as knowledge on the car only thing the guy could tell me is that "it is fast real fast!" LOL glad to see ford sends the dealerships info :D

i did contact customer support this morning on the issue the lady took my info and the dealers info and logged it and said they would send it to the dealer for the managers to review. Also mentioned about ford looking into it but i don't expect much out of this. I don't see how dealerships who have yet to sell their allocations have not be stripped and given to people who have un-allociated orders. Although from what i am reading it does seem like some ford reps are doing that maybe?? Either way doesn't seem like the ford rep around here is will to do that.
