*86 degrees F, been driving up the canyons for about 30 minutes in my stock Cup 2s.*

After about 3,500 miles, I decided it was finally time to try Drift Mode. :eagerness:

Put it in 1st gear, steer all the way to the left, floor it, and spin 180 degrees. The equivalent of dipping my toe in the water.

"That was fun, let's try it again." :highly_amused:

Same procedure, spin another 180 degrees.

"Ok, that's enough. Maybe I'll do it again once I'm ready to get new tires."

Driving back down the canyons...

["TIRE PRESSURE LOW"]

:eek:ffended:

"Well, in that case - no more sporty driving then. Let's just cruise back home..."

[STEERING GETS TENSE, BUMPS BECOME VIOLENT]

:concern:

Pull into gas station, front driver-side tire blown out.

:mad2:

"Never. Again."

:livid:

QUESTION - Does this mean I need a new tire(s)?

Is the tire that was "blown out" bald or damaged in any way? Could you have possibly just de-seated the bead of the tire off the rim? Check for obvious punctures, tears, etc. Did you have someone at a tire shop look at it?

I seriously doubt drift mode popped the bead of the tire off the rim. But crazy things have happened before.

That's some seriously bad luck OP.
Good luck with the fix.
