The wheel lock key was in my glove box.

I promptly relocated it next to the Fix a Flat can in the back so its never lost.

I promptly changed out the PITA wheel locks with normal nuts.

 

Mine came with them. They aren't that much a PITA. Heck, no one can steal any of the wheels. Potential problem though - they just steal the whole car :topsy_turvy:

 

Yes they come with wheel locks, and also a serial number for them(no. is on the package). Don't throw away your package for the wheel lock! (if you plan on using it)

I was told by an OG that they don't steal wheels much anymore, they'll just take the whole car.

Hey guys, just some advice, don't be like me lol. Ensure you have the key before leaving the lot. Long story short I don't have a key, a code, or anything to have a shot at getting a key sent to me... One dealership won't even touch the car and Tireman won't even give it an attempt due to the rarity of the car. Two weeks later I found an awesome dealership that took a shot and removed the locks without the key and zero damage dealt (earned my business and respect) it's a pain in the ass but doable. So don't be this guy!

 

This happened to me. My dealer though is 7 hours away and it being my first Ford, I don't have a relationship with a local one. The selling dealer is trying to contact the company who makes the locks and will order one of each to get it sent to me. I should have checked before I left the dealer, but I just wanted to get on the road. SMH

 

I guess if people run around your neighbourhood stealing wheels for the 50 bucks they'll get at the metal scrappers then use the lock.
