Initial release got pushed back a bit, because we made a somewhat last minute decision to step up to a proper development platform (Qt), rather than building the entire framework from scratch. It's a massive benefit though, as it opens us up to much better, more optimized hardware options. This means, faster, more stable software, smoother animations, quicker boot times, etc.
I've gotten a good bit of the UI built out and starting to transition to putting some of the back end framework together. We've been working on narrowing down our new hardware choices, I think we've settled on one but we're currently waiting to hear back to get a few more answers on some things. So the main delay now is making our final choices on hardware, smoothing out software, and spending a reasonable amount of time testing everything before shipping units out. Ideally we're aiming for late Q1 for initial release, but it'll more than likely be early Q2.
In the meantime, enjoy these boot up animations I’ve put together in Qt. I still need to make the animation for the track mode, and these two for normal/sport aren’t quite finalized, but close enough for now. That same gauge animation will be used when transitioning between gauge modes.
