I was curious so I went to my favorite Tire shop, Hanks Tires, Woodland Hills
To replace the awesome super sticky sport cup 2 they come with - $ 325 per tire - $1489 for 4 (inc balance etc) out the door.
The lesser track Super Sports are $75 a tire less.
Both would need to be ordered and are not on their shelves. Only takes a day or 2.

Dont need to replace them yet, but was curious.

Is it worth using the Sport Cup 2 for regular driving? They really do hold the road well. Its pretty incredible, but are soft and do wear fast. They are a race track tire per Hanks...

Thoughts?

Save the Cup 2s for the track. You'll go through three sets of Cup 2s in the same mileage that one set of Super Sports will last. I can't imagine someone needing more grip for street driving (even aggressively) than the Super Sports offer.
